Sydney Some Sydney shopping help? en>fr fr>en By Stufu Comments: 2170, member since Wed Apr 07, 2004On Fri Oct 31, 2008 08:22 AM
So i'm visiting Gold Coast and Sydney in December, but mostly Sydney. We're travelling with an itinerary, but we have 3 free and easy days.
I need some help from you guys in Sydney! I'm staying at the Holiday Inn, presumably in the prime area.
Are there any factory outlet malls in the vicinity? And can you name any shopping malls in the prime area? I know there's Supre, Valleygirl, Cotton On, Target, Boots etc. Any other shops that i can get clothes, shoes and make-up from?
And also is there Tiffany & Co., Lush, Coach etc over there? If so in which mall?
Lastly, what are the opening times of Bloch Skygarden? And do recommend any places that you feel is a must-visit. Be it shopping, sightseeing etc. Anything!
TIA!!! 4 Replies to Some Sydney shopping help? |

No Tiffany or Coach that I know of, but definitely a Lush.
Shoes you want to check out Mollini and Nine West. Napoleon is fun for makeup.
Myer and David Jones (our two big department stores) are must-sees as well. The latter stocks a lot of the Australian designers - Akira Isogawa, Collette Dinnigan, Sass and Bide, Alannah Hill etc. |

the best shopping is in the city around pitt st and george st
this is where you can find myer and david jones as well as a range of other shops from the cheaper supre, tree of life etc to th eexpensive hermes, gucci, versace..
i'm not sure if there is a tiffany and co but there is a coach in the queen victoria building
the qvb and the galleries victoria are the best place to find those kind of designer shops
and just so you know the bloch skygarden is moving next week because of construction work
the main shoes and new dance wear will now be at 117 york st which is just two streets along but the skygarden one will still be open with sale item stuff
and in chinatown (which is sort of onthe edge of the cbd) there are heaps of even cheaper factory outlets for cotton on and jay jays etc..
also if you want to venture out into the suburbs a bit bondi junction westfield is massive and has heaps of great shops and in the rosebery area there are factory outlet stores for aztec rose, gordon smith, alannah hill, zimmerman... |

Ooh thank you for the help!!! I'm getting excited about the trip! Any difference in opening hours of shops since it's near Christmas?
And is there H&M? I'm hoping there is, but i know the chances are slim. =( |

Nope, no H&M in Aus which is sad, I love H&M!!
There is a Tiffany in Sydney, it's in the city at Martin Place, conveniently located near the Lindt Chocolate Cafe which has cakes and chocolates to DIE for!!
Also, Parramatta Westfields is a good place for shopping, it's MASSIVE it has 5 levels and it's easy to get to from the city too, it's about 20 mins by train to Parramatta station and then the shopping centre is linked to the station. They have stores like Target, K Mart, Valley Girl and a few 'surf' shops like Surf Dive n Ski and City Beach. Their opening hours are longer towards Christmas, sometimes until about 10 or 11 at night. And Thursday nights is late night shopping, the shops are open until 9pm.
Westfields at Bondi Junction (again, you can catch the train) is a good centre to shop at too, it's really big and one side of the centre has 'upper class' shops like guess and prada and stuff like that and then the other side has 'regular' shops. |
