finding good costumes!!!! I have 20 dances that I am taking to competitions, about 10 I have been able to make the costumes for, or find them in unlikely places. But I have some dances that absolutely need "costumes." I am finding a severe lack of creativity in the lyrical/modern department (which are most of my dances, since I am mostly a modern teacher!!)

I have a small group contemporary, but here's the kicker....there's a boy!!! Obviously, this is a strange concept for costume companies because I cannot find any decent girl costumes that have a matching guy costume. I have different shapes, ages and sizes of kids in this dance (10-14) and I want a smoky blue/steely grey kind of costume..... no tummies. I have checked Wolfe Fording, Costume Gallery, Artstone, Algy, Cicci, A Wish Come True, Kelle, Curtain Call and Marcea. I really like some of the Marcea and Kelle costumes, but they have REALLY dinky boys sections, if they have one at all!

Can you recommend somewhere else that I look that will have a good selection for boys and girls in lyrical/modern?

Stagewear LA! We use them for a lot of our Contemporary and Modern pieces. You can also change the colors of the costumes for a small fee. We do this for competition so we have a unique costume. They do customizable boys!! stagewearla.com

I know Kelle definitely had a couple of costumes in the steel grey. Marcea has some cute stuff but be careful because the sizing of their costumes are off, really off.

For the boy I reccomend having a shirt made for him, it's easy to find a fabric that will match, or compliment the girls outfit.
