The "one post, one sale" rule - REPEALED

All the regular for sale boards on dance.net are restricted to one sale per post. There's been some confusion about this, especially here on the Accessories board. We've allowed this to slide somewhat, given that there hasn't been an appropriate venue for those posts. With the advent of the Marketplace forums we will enforce this rule more effectively. To be clear, you can sell more than one item in a post - they just must be bundled together. Otherwise, you would have to put up two posts to sell one set of pairs costumes (in the Pairs forum of course). So for example, if you have five Navajo headdresses to sell, you have these options: 1) Put a post in an appropriate For Sale forum that bundles all five together for one price. 2) Put up one post at a time for the headdresses, creating a new one after each sale. 3) Put your post in an appropriate Marketplace forum, where the "one post, one sale" rule won't apply. The Marketplace is also the appropriate place for any services you wish to advertise. Nevermind, the Marketplace boards have been removed and you can do what you like on the Accessories boards.

"Repealed" is a bit misleading as it implies there was a vote or something. What happened was Linh decided the Marketplace forums weren't working, and that posts that would have been required to be in the Marketplace would be allowed in Accessories forums (but not regular For Sale forums). So, if you have twenty refrigerators you want to sell, you don't have to make twenty separate posts - you can do one in the Accessories forum. If the refrigerators are new, or you are posting on behalf of a business, you still have to get a priority ad. If you charge people to send you their refrigerator so you can cover it with graffiti and special jewel-encrusted magnets, you can post that on an Accessories board. That certainly sounds like some kind of refrigerator-customizing business, so you'd need the priority ad for that too. Any other rules relating to For Sale boards in general still apply. So no advertising for prostitution, prescription drugs, or your service for refilling old refrigerators with chlorofluorocarbon-based refrigerants...
