My daughter is devoted to her ballet and wants to have some private lessons to further her technique etc. Her current school does not offer this. She is doing Grade 5 RAD but should be higher than this, but the school can not offer this. Any suggestions??

Where abouts are you in Sydney? I know Ecole in Lindfield, Northern Beaches Academy, Tanya pearson in St Leonards, and Alegria (various locations) all offer private lessons. Or, alternatively ask one of the more advanced students to run a lesson for her. They would need police checking etc. but that is what used to happen at my old studio. Plus, I'm sure some of the older students would be glad of the money. Go through their teacher of course.

Thanks for that we are based in West Pennant Hills. I wasn't sure if I would have to be enrolled at a school or not. I will try your suggestions though!

If working through a studio, yes. There are freelance teachers floating around (I do freelance work, for example) but I think it's safe to say that most ballet teachers would be working at studios. Freelance is good for 'niche' dance forms - ballet is more mainstream.

Thanks. I am looking for freelance teacher just to give her some more specialised work. Where do I start looking??
