Hello everyone and welcome to the stretch club.

If ou don't know what I'm talking about take a look at this thread which should hopefully explain everything: www.dance.net . . .

If you already signed up on the stretching board you don't need to again, but it would be nice if you could reply so I know who has moved over.

Any new peole who wish to join you are totally welcome just reply and tell us who you are(Don't have to post real name if you don't want) what you do, what type(s) of dance you do, why your joining the club and what your stretching goals are.

Hey, I found it ^-^/

So let's get started. I had a good week with 3 stretching days and two days with classes. Maybe I'll be stretching tomorrow too, depends on how sore I am.

I'm very happy with how much my attitudes improved over the last months. I started at really ugly 50° when my hips were correctly aligned and thought that it would be impossible for me to ever improve. But then I did attitudes all day long, wherever I was, and now I'm over 90° ^-^ Never give up!

picture 1: july 9th - I only got at 90° when I opened my hip
picture 2: september 13th - the point where I thought it will never get better. very poor height as soon as I squared my hip.
picture 3: november 2nd - 90° with square hip
picture 4: today!

Yay I found it too :) (I signed up already).

My stretching has been going pretty good the past few weeks! I'm very proud of myself, I've stretched just about every day! I did skip 2 days this week though because I got home late and was really tired..I'm slowly improving, I wish it could happen faster but sadly it doesn't :(

I haven't improved at all so far because I was really busy this week. Too many exams at school!! The week before was good, I stretched for at least 30 minutes, 5 days a week.

Sugarfairy, that's a real improvement! Well done! =)

I've kept up pretty well with my extra foot and calf stretching to prevent plantar faciitis. That and tendonitis hit active people in Denver when it gets cold, which it did last week. I think many people let their feet and ankles get cold, at which point just walking or going up stairs can strain the frozen muscles. Unexpected snow can get my feet wet; so I put extra socks in my dance bag and in my drawer at work just in case.

Last night we went to my husband's annual company Christmas party which we attend even though he's retired. As it was held at the Museum of Natural History with an Imax Theatre, there was so much to do and see that we just couldn't leave early. So I just fell into bed afterward and didn't spend any time stretching before going to sleep.

Wow, sugarfairy, you can really see the difference. How does everybody take such great, sharp pictures? You must have a cooperative friend or family member who is a good photographer. My husband is an excellent photographer when it comes to scenic places on vacation but it would not be worth the wrangling to try to get him to document my stretching efforts on a regular basis. I'll just have to look for a camera with a timer.

Thanks :)
I'm taking all of my pictures with the self-timer, my camera rests on a shelf adverse to my barre, so it's pretty easy. ^-^

Well I've been totally rubbish this week too. I overstretched near the start of the week so did very little the rest of the week. I know tut tut.

I'll aim to do better this week.
