We have a mix of veteran and new dancers on our team. They have trouble keeping their proper spacing and keeping the formation crisp. Does anyone have any advice on how to help these girls keep their spacing and straight formation when transitioning from one formation to another?

Have them go in slow motion. Slow down the counts, then get progressively faster. Some times I even have them hold hands so they can feel the straight line.
