Hi de hi people, how are we all this week?

I'm not too bad, just got back from spending Christmas at my parents house, and it's freezing in my house.

I haven't been very good this week though, I have done very little stretching. Mainly because I was just being lazy, but also coz my ballet teacher said she wants my class to dance en pointe for the show at easter and I haven't done a whole performance en pointe since moving dance schools so have been working on feet strength instead.

I hope you've all been doing better.

As always I've continued stretching the feet and ankles, especially the left one. I don't think I ever mentioned a sort of "stirrup" I put together to stretch the foot. The problem with the "sock" and "boot" manufactured for this purpose is that after a short time the neoma (pinched nerve), especially in the left foot, causes the foot to go numb and then to hurt. So I took some old, thick, bathrobe sashes, tied them together to make a long "rope", them tied it around the headboard of my bed. On the other end I made a long loop. So when I read in bed I put the ball of my foot in the "stirrup" loop, and press the heel downward the way you do when riding a horse. I can shift around in the stirrup enough that the foot does not go numb from being in one, exact position. When I go to sleep with my left foot in the stirrup, the "rope" is loose enough that I slip out of it during the night and I don't wake up with the foot over-stressed. This stretches my calf a bit, too. Doing this at night, my feet, ankles and calves do not feel so stiff when I get up in the morning.
