^^^ Same with me! The salt craving on BC!
So my period stopped 2 weeks ago (thankfully) but, surprise surprise, someone forgets to take their BC pill (which I take for my periods) for two days and, oh, hello! Nice to see you again! NOT.
Major Cheeto cravings today, but the best my dad could do was buy me cheese puffs. Generic brand cheese puffs. Agh! And all I feel like doing from this bloating is sitting in sweatpants or pajamas. I did do a few crunches this morning though.
No cramps...yet. I know those suckers are just waiting for me to be at school, or at dance. Then BAM! Major crampage in the southern hemisphere, and I can't do anything about it. ]: | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By Boogledoo Comments: 1038, member since Mon Feb 20, 2006On Wed Sep 15, 2010 06:47 AM
For some reason (still haven't found out from the docs) I only have a period once every six months, and well, guess what decided to surprise me today?
So I'm curled up in my bed with lots of chocolate and painkillers, using my laptop as a DIY hot water bottle, and it's working.
The downside is I'm an absolute emotional wreck, I've cried for times today and once was because I couldn't get the lid off my Marmite.
No one should EVER cross me when I'm PMSing like this. | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By Reidfidleir Comments: 3000, member since Sun Sep 28, 2003On Wed Sep 15, 2010 02:03 PM
^ I've used my laptop as a belly warmer too! haha how funny. And inventive. Whatever works, right? | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By kandykane Comments: 14874, member since Mon May 01, 2006On Wed Sep 15, 2010 02:17 PM
Just finished another very light period. A few panty liners did the trick. But the cramps, bloating and migraines are tough these days. Period was over on Sunday and I still had a headache yesterday.

Dear Period,
Thanks for the visit, but you can leave now. Thanks.
Love,
Staygold. | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By Piano_on_Pointe Comments: 1483, member since Fri Mar 20, 2009On Sat Sep 18, 2010 09:45 AM
Dear Kiko (I did name you that, right?),
Thank you heaps and heaps for going back like for sure to the 4 day thing. I said once that no stress makes you happy, but I lied, the stress of school, homework, band, and dance makes you extremely happy and only 3-4 days long. Victory. | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By Caffeine Comments: 2228, member since Wed Aug 08, 2007On Mon Sep 20, 2010 04:38 AM
F. F. S.
Seriously. Finish one uneventful cycle (huzzah), then a week later, after sexytime, it's back.
want chocolate. and hugs.
Have to throw this out there: does anyone else bleed after an orgasm?*
(*yes, I plan to bring this up with my gyno in a couple of weeks when I see her; no it's not from rough sex.) | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By Boogledoo Comments: 1038, member since Mon Feb 20, 2006On Mon Sep 20, 2010 08:22 AM
^ menstrual blood or actual blood?
I have once, unfortunately for us the lights were off and we didn't notice until it was too late, it looked like a horror film in that room.
My period is over, thank god: however, the visible effects aren't. Gigantic spots anyone? | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By Caffeine Comments: 2228, member since Wed Aug 08, 2007On Mon Sep 20, 2010 06:48 PM
^ there are no visible tears or anything to indicate actual blood, but it's totally the wrong point in my BC-controlled cycle for it to be menstrual blood.
Rather perplexing. And most annoying. | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By Reidfidleir Comments: 3000, member since Sun Sep 28, 2003On Mon Sep 20, 2010 07:40 PM
^ the only thing I can think of related is that the orgasm causes the uterus to contract rhythmically.... Some times when I'm ON my period, and I have an orgasm and I haven't really bled that day, I'll start bleeding again once orgasm has happened.
But aside from that, definitely ask gyno because it seems it is not during your expected period. | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By girlwithghillies Comments: 1026, member since Fri Nov 26, 2004On Mon Sep 20, 2010 07:45 PM
^ If it makes you feel better (won't, I know) I'm on my third this month. It's completely bizarre and I have been an emotional (for me, which is not much), chocolate eating wreck.
Doctor time! | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By Caffeine Comments: 2228, member since Wed Aug 08, 2007On Mon Sep 20, 2010 08:08 PM
Thanks, girls - it actually does help to know other people have something similar going on! With all the problems I've been having, I sometimes feel very alone in amongst the normal people!!
I've had ultrasounds done, and my uterus is in good shape (apart from being retro), so maybe it is the contractions triggering something? I hope the gyno will be able to shed some light in it...

I feel like hell on toast. Don't read, it's very tmi. I went off my birth control this month (using other methods of bc at the moment) and my period started a week early. Not only is it exactly one week early, it's really heavy and my diva cup is irritating me and bizarrely making me feel like I've got a UTI when I don't, so I'm on tampons and I'm really light headed. I keep feeling like I need to lie down so I don't pass out. Plus it isn't like normal period blood, it's bright red, thin bleeding type blood with some period blood/mucus thrown in for good measure. Ahhhhhh I don't like feeling like this! | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By reel_faerie85 Comments: 3635, member since Mon Mar 08, 2010On Wed Sep 29, 2010 11:41 AM
spots....i wouldnt call what i have spots! more like gigantic lumps over my face with puss in them. I'm 25 next month and have a face that a 16 year old would be proud of.
And nothing helps.
PMT is another matter. Had a major stress out today basically because I feel rubbish and everything is just getting on top of me. I'm tired, bloated, feel like hell, have no money, got a headache and backache and the horrid drawing pain down below.
Thanks Period - I will ask now, please do NOT come back next month or the month after or after that.
Hmm. I have the coil too and my periods got lighter and now boom they are back with a vengance! GO AWAY! | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By Sumayah Comments: 4708, member since Wed Nov 12, 2008On Wed Sep 29, 2010 12:06 PM

i've got one from the body shop at the moment have tried many and none really seem to make a difference. found germaline to work pretty well on the smaller spots but always seem to get one mahusive one either on my chin or nose. grr | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By Celebrian Comments: 7591, member since Thu Mar 31, 2005On Wed Sep 29, 2010 01:46 PM

Ugh, my body disgusts me. Fairly tmi this but... I bled through a maxi pad in an hour this morning. Though this is fairly normal for the first day of a period, I finally cracked and was crying. Mum has, I think, realised how bad a time I have with my periods and has said I can go on the Pill fulltime for them, thank goodness (before, it was just for summer holidays). | |

Ugh, I've had cramps off and on for a week now, I had a horrible cold or flu all last week, too. Today I started so hopefully the cramps will stop. Not happy.
Totally eating brownies tonight! | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By Piano_on_Pointe Comments: 1483, member since Fri Mar 20, 2009On Sun Oct 10, 2010 01:44 PM
Sigh, here we go again. Started about an hour and a half ago. It's weird because last night I had a dream that I was 3 weeks pregnant, only I was still a virgin, but then I found out that when I was hanging out with my best friend, she let these guys gang rape me after giving they gave date rape drug and that's how I got pregnant...o.O | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By reel_faerie85 Comments: 3635, member since Mon Mar 08, 2010On Fri Oct 22, 2010 05:11 PM
Bad.Mood.Hate.Period.
Mine decided to come today knew it was on its way as pizza face spot break out each month kinda gives it away. That and the fact I feel like shouting and screaming at everyone and managed to eat my way through 2 chocolate bars and a piece of gypsy tart yesterday before finishing off chocolate biscuits.
Very much feel the need to smother my food in salt right now.. | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By imadancer2 Comments: 2400, member since Wed Nov 30, 2005On Sun Nov 28, 2010 03:12 PM
I'm going to be optimistic.
First, this cycle was 26 days! My average is 21 days which is really crappy, so that really made me excited!
Second, my face is NOT breaking out that bad. Instead my back is, but hey it's winter and no one sees my back anyway.
Thirdly, I only had cramps the first 2 days. The first day was horrible though - diarrhea cramps AND period craps on top of each other. So massively painful. (oh yah, that was on Thanksgiving too so I felt like I was going to die and had to be very presentable to family and friends. Yuckers)
Forth, it's not super heavy - at all really! Yippee! I've been able to get away with a super tampon every 5 hours (and even longer today! Yippppeeeee!)
The headaches have definitely hit me hard, but I didn't have work yesterday so I just sat around and watched 10 hours of Six Feet Under.
I lit a mint chocolate candle and it's making me want to eat...it, haha. Yummy.
Really I think this is the best period I've ever had. | re: The Moontime Thread en>fr fr>en By Dancing_EMT Comments: 2732, member since Wed Dec 08, 2004On Sun Nov 28, 2010 04:04 PM
I want a hysterectomy like NOW. I'm laid up on the couch with a heating pad on my belly. The pain medicine I took is not doing much. Based on the type of pain I am having, I think an ovarian cyst is going to burst tonight or tomorrow. The BF and I went out to run some errands, within an hour and a half of leaving the house, I was having sharp pains that came in waves, like contractions. STUPID *#@+?/< ENDOMETRIOSIS!!!! I am so sick of the pain, horrific cramps, heavy bleeding and clots the size of kumquats. I just want it to be over! (No I am not suicidal or anything, when I say "over" I mean I want my uterus OUT!) | re: The Moontime Thread (karma: 1)
