Welcome to all the newcomers! After this post I am officially out of the hut and back into the regular world. I'll be back in about 24 days, give or take 2 days, lol!

I'll pop in tomorrow to just welcome whoever comes by, tend the fire and then bounce out, not really talk all that much.

KayElle, about that cold and period thing...that happened to me once. TMI, but there was nothing nice about sneezing and gushing at the same time if you know what I mean. :?

Ok, well I'm joining today. Ten days late. And not to mention the fact its my friends birthday today, and we are meant to go out, but I can't move because of the pain, and have slept the afternoon away.

Good old big brother just went out to get movies, and I asked for some lollies as well to comfort me.

Blanket & Pillows are already out, so I'm gonna settle down with you guys for the week (and a bit knowing my luck!)

Technically, I joined yesterday but I didn't get on here until this morning. It's a little annoying right now because it came early... But that's okay! I get to spend the weekend spoiling myself and suffering through scholarship applications. Yay for two great excuses to be grumpy!

I've only come to add wood to the fire and tend it. I'm done for now, lol.

Welcome Nicci and Nicole. Please keep the hut nice and clean while I'm away. There's a generator powering a refrigerator so there should be some leftover cheesecake and chocolates (see page 1).

When I drop in tomorrow to tend the fire and tidy up, I'll see whoever else has dropped in. Have fun while I'm gone, ladies.

Uhh now I've got a period story for this month... My periods come on the exact date every month, they last 3-4 days and I generally have no problems whatsoever. Yeah I know I'm really lucky, and seriously I appreciate it, especially now.

So New Years morning there's a bit of an issues with a condom splitting (I am not a fan of Mr Durex) so I totter off to get the M.A.P. and at that time I've got 85% chance of it working. Now my period was due on the 14th, so I have two weeks to wait out until I know for sure.

Now I'm sure you can imagine those two weeks were horrible anyway, but just to make it better I started getting this excruciating lower back pain on the 10th, that lasted until the 17th. Just to top it off I also managed to have cystitus jsut about the same time. This is when I'm wondering if my body trying to put me off sex for life??

So time drags on and I get to the 14th and... no period. Possibly one of the worst days ever. However my body was just teasing me and it showed up the next day. Now for the first time it was heavy, I was an emotional wreck, I had those horrible pains but I can tell you, I have never been so greatful for my period in my entire life.

Also, Kekoa
Now I'm munching on cool ranch doritos and diet coke
could you have made a better selection?!

3 days down! 2 left.
Rawr. No more crying for me, thank god that passed.
I've actually gotten lucky after that first day or so, no cramps and no crying.

Congratulations Katie_x! (lol)

Has anyone ever taken something like Midol (a menstrual symptom reliever) and felt ill? As in shaky, on the verge of being sick (but not actually getting sick), and just.. like your limbs aren't your own? Almost faint but mostly just awkward. It doesn't list any of these as possible side effects and there aren't any warnings about them.

It's starting to make me feel worse than my actual period does! And that takes some skill.

I'm glad you're feeling better feisgirl92.

Nicci_, I'm sorry you're in such awful pain.

I don't take Midol, I usually just take a few Ibruprofen if it gets really bad. I'm sorry I can't help you out there Nicole.

Blah.

Well, as of last night, I am now officially surfing the crimson wave also. SUCKS. I had horrible lower back pain this morning at work. Not to mention I had to get up at 3 IN THE FREAKING MORNING today. ARGH. To top it all off, I think the girl at work got me sick AND my eczema is at an all time horrible.

I hate life right now. :?

HOWEVER, I did bring something for you all...

TIM TAMS!

No, I don't live in Australia anymore as I have moved back home to California, but these were my absolute favorite. I always get SUPER DUPER excited when my aunt sends me Tim Tams and Crunchie bars for Christmas.

Anyway, while wandering aimlessly through Target one day, I spotted them! Tim Tams! Here in California! You can imagine my euphoria! So I bought three packs. :D

YUM.

Just stopping in to stock up that fire. Welcome, new ladies. Enjoy the TimTams!

P.S. Yes, I took Midol only once and it jacked me up so badly with the shakes I decided I'd never do that again!

Later, peeps.

Hey y'all. Can I come join you?

Literally just started five minutes ago. But I've been crampy for the past hour or so, but I also have a sore back today which was really confusing me. But now the cramps are full blown. Ew! So I popped me some midol. Nothing works better than midol for me. Actually, nothing works except midol. And I was going to go to bed soon. Boo! Well, hopefully tomorrow won't be that bad.

I think tomorrow I'm gonna get me some Canadian chocolate bars. They have the best candy here, and I haven't gotten any since I started college. But I remember my uncle always sent us a box of candy bars for christmas, and they totally beat American chocolate bars. Coffee crisps, aeros, well that's all I can think of because those are my favorite, lol.

Well, here I am. *sigh*

I am usually as regular as clockwork, but I was over 10 days late last month, and about a week late this month. What the heck? My cramps weren't as bad as they usually are though, and I had no warning cramps for the couple days before, which is unusual.

BLEH. I hate periods!

Without getting TMI, I started Monday (1/26/09) 49 days later after my last one. I knew cause my clear discharge was more and more prevalent and I had an odor. Sure enough I went to the bathroom last night after I got home and there it was.... the curse. UGH! I feel sick, nauseous, and like I want to vomit.... I can't sleep obviously probably because I've had two one liters of pop and two 20 oz in two days. I slept a little earlier, but then woke up and now I feel so gross.

Thank you for the chocolate you shared with us. Oooh I want my menopause! LOL!

*HUGS* to you all. Sending peaceful and calm waves your way to try and help you all relax.

This thread is such a nice idea, Cele! :)

Well, I don't get periods, my body is kind of broken that way. But in the spirit of sisterhood, I give you this bit 'o' period humor:

So really I shouldn't be on my period, but I recently forgot my pill one day...i am so stressed, i ignore the reminder alarm for my pill..
NEVER AGAIN.
I've learned on Femcon, that if I miss a day, I am for sure making up for it. It is such heavy bleeding...TMI, but it just keeps coming out when i try to change tampons, which doesn't help at all. And theres a lot of uterine wall lining in it too. Im crampy...and i need to eat, but for once, im just not hungry.

You heard me. I dont feel like eating. What is this madness I say?
This. IS. MONSTER PERIOD!!! (...i recently watched 300 =))

Midol has a bunch of caffeine in it, so it makes me jittery.

I have cramps, and no food sounds appealing right now. And it's freezing and wet outside, and I have to go back outside to walk to class this afternoon. I just want to go to sleep. I wonder if that's an acceptable excuse for missing class?

I NEED BIRTH CONTROL!!!

Ugh! This period sucks! I was totally crampy last night and midol barely did anything. Today I am very very crampy and nauseous. I don't want to eat, but I need to eat something because it's making me light headed.

My periods aren't always this bad. But they're so confusing. Some months I don't feel them at all and I just stick a tampon in and I'm fine. But other months I'm so crampy I don't want to move. And I can never tell which one it will be. But this month I feel really sick. I think I'm gonna have to make an appointment for BC pills, like really soon.

Ohh, sweet, can I join? Awesome idea for a thread btw. :D

I'm just finishing up my visit with my monthly friend. The first two days had awful cramping - and one day included a 5 hour shift at work. UGH.

However, now it is snowing, I just finished drinking hot chocolate, and there's too much ice on the roads for me to go to class tomorrow, so I'm very content. Now if only my homework would do itself.

*passes chocolate & cookies around to share*

Kekoa: i love when that happens. or if my monthly friend is delayed because of travelling or whatnot. makes my day!

Hey guys! I bring you all an assortment of fudge!

Image hotlink - 'http://blog.thehandcraftedwedding.com/photos/uncategorized/2007/12/18/fudge.jpg'

Bad cramps are finally gone! But cramps are still lingering, they just aren't making me double over in nausea inducing pain. The back is still hurting. I can't tell if it's crampy hurting or I-did-too-heavy-a-load-of-laundry-on-sunday hurting. But whatever. The worst part of the ride is over! It's all downhill from here.

^Oh my goddd I would love some fudge right now.

I think my period is giving me a headache. Is that possible? I had mad cramps yesterday but my flow is all but gone. If this BC gives me one-day periods I would be SO HAPPY.
