1st tap class!
-sorry for typos and fragments, I tried to fix as most spelling errors as I could.

Warm up - Untouched, by The Veronicas

tapping with just the ball of your foot (flat footed)switching feet each time.
16 single time
32 double time

tapping just the heels (flat footed) switching feet each time.
16 single time
32 double time

shuffles-
(skip this first section if you know how to do them!)
Parallel feet, left foot flat, right foot and inch-ish off the floor. With the ball of your right foot, brush it forward, and then back to the starting postion, making kind of an arch, without your heel hitting the floor. Stomp your right foot, lift left and do the same of left. This can be done to the sides, think of it has your leg your using as turned out, but stomp in parallel. Also in back, on a diagonal, returning to the parallel position afterward. (If your still unsure, try youtube for a demonstration.)

8 on the right foot forward. (don't stomp until you finish the 8)

8 left foot forward.
8 right foot side, 8 left foot side, 8 right foot back, 8 left foot back.
*at a speed your comfortable with and making the brushing sounds.

Flaps
(once again skip if you know them)
Flaps start in the same position as shuffles. Then, basically, flaps are a brush forward (or side or back, depending on the direction)and then a tap with the ball, after each one returning back to elevated next to the unused foot for each one. As you would/will see on youtube, they can get very fast. That happens when you achieve it in one fluid motion, but still clearly hearing 2 distinguishable sounds.

same combinations as shuffles.
Right-8 front. Left- 8 front. Right- 8 side. Left- 8 side. Right- 8 back. Left- 8 back.

Across the floor - The Hand That Feeds by 9 Inch Nails

shuffles-
backwards across the floor, to the sides switching feet.
Stay on balls of feet the whole time. At whatever speed your comfortable at.
Shuffle side right, return to ball of foot in parallel slightly behind your left foot. Shuffle side left, return on ball slightly behind right foot. Repeat until you reach the end of the space, or about 12.

Repeat going the other way across the floor on left.

flaps-
(also known as running flaps, but if you just learned them, they can be walking flaps :P )

Flaps going forward, switching feet.
Start on balls of both feet. Flap forward right, but once you make the second sound (the tap of the ball of your foot), don't lift your right foot up again. Keeping the right ball stationary, flap on the left, ending slightly in front of the right foot. Repeat across the floor, or about 12 times.

Combination - Black Betty, by Ram Jam

It starts right after two beats in the song, you'll hear it. This combination is slow, I can't exactly show you how, but maybe you'll hear it.
Tap right ball, left, right, left.
Flap forward right (5-6) Flap right again (7-8)
Return right foot to parallel in a stomp. Stomp left. Stomp right, stomp left.
Flap left side. Flap left side. Stomp left.
Shuffle right side, shuffle left side (as in across the floor combination).

Cool Down - Dirty Little Secret by All American Rejects

The same ball tapping and heel tapping combination as the beginning.

Hope you enjoyed the first lesson!

Just so you know, every week I'll introduce more steps, so you can skip over the 'how to' and go straight to the exercise.
