Hello :).
This is going to be pretty easy...get those shoes working and warmed up. The next couple weeks with probably be easy but getting harder and then maybe the first week of March I will start choreography. The choreography will be slightly lyrical based because of the song, but will incorporate ballet values. I hope to do that mixed with warm up and routines and then when I finish that I will post two more classes and then we will be done. So there is a little bit of what to expect for the next couple weeks.

If you want to listen to the song I have chosen, it is called "The Power of the Dream" by Celine Dion.

Stretch: Always start with warming-up and stretching! This is SO important…you don’t want to hurt yourself.

* Start with leaning over to touch your toes. Two counts of eight.

* Grasp your hands over your head and bend right being sure to stretch with your abs not arms. Straighten back up. Do this five times on each side.

* Bend knee and grab foot behind your bottom. Hold for count of eight. Repeat on other side.

* Start in second position. Slowly reach down your right side (1, 2, 3, 4) and hold for the rest of the count of eight. Repeat again on left.

* Right Splits! Hold for three counts of eight.

* Left Splits! Hold for three counts of eight.

* Open Splits! Hold for three counts of eight.

* Do three pull-through’s.

I hope you enjoyed it :). This week for your response, I have to have you answer a couple questions that I can incorporate into the routine :). Please post honestly...I am there. I am really bad at turns...I am a leap person. So don't be ashamed if you can't do good turns or a good leap. I totally understand!

**Keep in mind these turns are all on pointe:
How many pirouettes can you do in a row?
How many fouettes can you do in a row?
How are your leaps?
How are your flat footed arabesques?

Sorry got my classes screwed up haha. Those turns are NOT en pointe. My mistake!! And that is my beginner pointe song. Your song is "Yellow" by Coldplay.

Sorry!!

I looked it up, but with no success :(.

And now for answers :)
How many pirouettes can you do in a row? 3
How many fouettes can you do in a row? 5
How are your leaps? Pretty good...
How are your flat footed arabesques? Pretty good. One side is better than the other.

Thanks again!
TJ

An attitude is www.ehow.com . . .

That is a jazz attitude turn...so the arms for a ballet will be in classic turn position.

Did that help?

Haha...

I will be doing warm ups along with teaching a couple eights of the dance so it will go for a while longer :). I am thinking maybe to the end of May (maybe when our school year ends).

If I finish the choreography and we still have time I will do challenging warm ups in the mean time :).

So I am hoping to go to the end of May with classes.

How many pirouettes can you do in a row?: 3 on the left, 2 on the right
How many fouettes can you do in a row?: 4 or 5 on the left, 2 on the right.
How are your leaps?: Right legs are pretty good, Left are just decent.
How are your flat footed arabesques?: About 80 degrees, I guess.
