nicole mum here, this is one of my first posts on DDN so bear with me!

so i turned 40 just over a month ago and i feel great, i have been going out with the girls and having so much fun! the best time ive had in years!

anybody else been like this since turning 40?

Happy birthday for a month ago - we must have been born within days of each other!

I'm still coming to terms a bit with my being 40 - nothing really seems to have changed but, with a 7 year old and (just today - happy birthday William!) 3 year old and working full time, I haven't had a spare moment for it to really hit me yet.

I guess I feel a bit more mature and I've decided that I'm old enough now to speak my mind a bit more on DDN (!) because I figure I can now class myself as a cranky, old bag so that's been a bit more fun!

turned 40 i turned 40 its the same as 30 or 20
just 1 or 2 more gray hairs
when I 1st clicked on your not i looked at your pic and said for 40 you look young then i saw it was your Daus pic and you and her have a profile on the same page....... so are you both in Dance what type do take

It's not too bad. I turn 41 in 16 days and that's much worse! That happened at 30, too. 30 wasn't bad, but 31 was more traumatic. A lot of people say I "don't look" 40, but what does 40 supposed to look like?

I work hard to keep a clean complexion and smooth skin...and bug my husband that I'm not overdoing it! (LOL).

Enjoy it, it is what it is. Be happy to be able to continue dancing and keep moving!

absolutely, my hubby threw me a huge party when i turned 40 then he cleared off with someone else so my life definately took on a new lease starting with a clubbing holiday with a guy 17 years younger than me lol. and my dancing has just got better n better still winning loads of trophies so life in your 40's is fantastic

I loved it when I turned 40. Unfortunately that was almost 27 years ago. [Birthday in two and a half weeks.]
