NO-ONE IS EVER "TOO" OLD TO DANCE!!

Dancing is foreverrr! Get freestyle disco dancing and do the comps.. the best thing is that you'll enjoy it sooo much! If anything, it should make you feel younger :)

I'm 19 and stopped dancing around 17 which I hugely regret and looking to pick up where I ended.. It's never too late to start anything..

Best of luck :) xx

You are never too old to start. However there are not many comps that have good over 18 sections and even fewer that have over 25 sections. This doesn't matter though if you are happy to dance with the younger girls and boys. Have fun.

If it is fitness thats bothering you go to an acrobatics club its as energetic as the dancing. I would advise you to not really start dancing at 24 as your muscles may not be able to take the strain and its much more eaiser when your younger to be able to do all the moves

Hope this helps

I think you can start dancing at any age and there are lots of different types of dancing and competions to pick through until you find one that suits you.

24 is definately not too old to start dancing. If you can commit yourself and be ready to learn and practice its a fab way of keeping fit and its great fun. If you did start going to comps, the atmosphere is great and a great oppertuinity to meet new people and show support to your peers. Go for it I say!!! x

hi ya

My daughers started dancing just over a year ago and I loved the style of dance so asked if there was anything for parents at our dance school. Our dance teacher ran a class for parents so I joined. I loved it so much I now dance everyweek, have a dance partner (another mum) and am going to do my first comp (ISTD) in May .
I am 30 this year and think you're never too old to start dancing, admittedly we aren't very good but thats not the point, we love dancing and have so much fun. Our expecations aren't to win comps but to take part, enjoy the atmospere and most of all have fun.

I think it is a bit old to start competing at ADFP competition as you don't see many adult beginners and also at ADFP competition there is a Lot of flexible moves. But for Fitness it's a Great idea and also its a good idea to ISTD competitions maybe.

hey
I'm going to be honest, ADFP comps are mind blowing if you haven't been before, the speed and flexibilty of some dancers is unbelievable and it's really hard getting to that standard. At any age, it's really hard work. If your prepared for that i would say definately go for it. If your not bothered about doing competitions i would suggest trying an IDTA class.
I left dancing when I was nearly 20 and regret it because i left on bad terms. Hopefully I'm starting again soon . Never miss out on something because people tell you your too old.
good luck!

I say go for it, I hope to still be dancing when I'm 24, better late than never and plus you only love once so go for it and have a laugh, who cares if your older than the other folk or not as flexablie at least you'd be keeping fit and having fun :) x

I started disco dancing around the age of 32! I still compete now. True I dance ISTD and they run a section for the over 25s, but I have danced against over 14s and do ok.
