dance.net sightings DDN in kindergarten! en>fr fr>en By rincedragonfly Comments: 4495, member since Sun Mar 20, 2005On Wed Mar 04, 2009 11:42 AM
So I'm student teaching in a kindergarten classroom this semester, and we've been talking about equivalencies this week. We discussed how a quarter is the same thing as three coins put together: 2 dimes and 1 nickel.
To have the students practice equivalences, I would write on the board how many quarters (represented by a Q) and they would write in how many dimes and nickles (represented by N and D). I had originally showed them to group the coins in a triangle, but one student wrote them out in a line, and voila! DDN! 6 Replies to DDN in kindergarten! |

Now that's pretty cool. I find it interesting how DDN ends up in random places if you know what I mean. |

Awww
My first though upon seeing the picture was "of course! you have a question (Q), go to DDN"
See? Even kindergardeners know that DDN is a great place to ask people questions! |
