Teachers - Costumes In need of accessory help en>fr fr>en By x0oashley0ox Comments: 67, member since Sun Mar 08, 2009On Sun Mar 08, 2009 01:06 PM
So I am choreographing a ballet peice to music from Enchanted for a beginner ballet class and the theme is 'Cinderella.'
They all have a costume from a christmas show we did and its white and blue sparkles, my problem is that each student is a different character and I don't know how to utilize this dress for the mice.
I am in the process of finding/making mouse ears but i'm concerned that this won't distinguish them as mice. Any ideas??
Thanks,

Face paint, or use an adhesive black dot to stick on the tip of their nose, and then long thin strips of black tape for whiskers.
You could also make a piece of cheese from styrofoam, or have them hold a Mickey Mouse doll (Disney site may have some past-dated small ones on sale.) |

Give them a tail. Attach with a safety pin to the skirt.
Let them have the hands together a lot, with bend fingers/wrists.
Let them do a lot on releve, lots of small steps. |

How about a mouse headpiece. We use one for Nutcracker. It already has the whole face on it. I think we got it from Curtain Call. I am sure they wouldn't be hard to make from felt and pipe cleaners. For the movements, small scurry type movements, the hands should be bent at the wrist. I am sure with the choreography you can make them look like mice. |
