I know this comes up every so often, us Canadian teachers are always searching for costumes that can be ordered in Canada. So I sat down on the weekend and spent a couple hours searching for Canadian companies...unfortunatly, it's a tiny list! But, perhaps you guys can help me build it up a bit! I think this is a resource us Canadians need!
Bodywrappers – I got a catalogue through my local dancewear store
bodywrappers.com
Elementz Dancewear
elementzdancewear.com
Hamilton’s Theatrical
hamiltonstheatrical.com
Jazz-Ma Tazz
jazz-ma-tazz.ca
Knights Classic Bodywear
knightsclassicbodywear.com
Pazapa Costumes
leotardspazapa.com
SixO Activewear
sixoactivewear.com
If you know of any others that I missed, add it here and be sure to include the website and contact info! 4 Replies to Canadian Costume Companies |

Were in the Us & have used Body Wrappers before, but I think Body Wrappers advertises themselves as, "A New York City company in business for over 25 years", and "American made dance apparel for women & kids". |

umm...I love Knights, it's really a good company to work with and they're quality is great. |

^ Bodywrappers also has a Canadian office, and you should be able to order their costumes through your local dance store without a problem. |

Thank you for that, as an immigrant teacher in Canada it's not easy to find this stuff, all I normaly get when I do a google is stuff from the States and whilst it's cheap, the commitee's I work for don't like ordering from the US because of the customs and postage problems.
We have used Jazz-a-ma-tazz, but there isn't that much choice if your doing character pieces and they can be very pricey.
These are now bookmarked on my PC for next year |
