We are attending the west palm onstage regional. This is a new comp to us and I was hoping to get some info on it. Anyone been before? How is the judging? Special Awards etc etc

We just went to this comp for the first time this year too, and I was not really a fan. We definitely won't go back next year. Some of their judging was pretty harsh. I'm all for only giving platinums/high golds to those who deserve it, but they just didn't seen to be that consistant with who they gave silvers/golds to. Their awards were also pretty cheap looking. The only thing I really did like about it was that they give you dvd critiques, and even if the critiques themselves aren't good - its always nice to have the dvd for the girls to look at and fix their own mistakes.

I went a couple years ago. My kids really liked it. We are going again this year. We didn't win alot of big awards but the talent there was great. I thought the judging was pretty fair...more fair than most comps. As far as the trophys, I think most of them are pretty cheap. I haven't seen a real trophy in years!!!!
