I am a dance team coach and we are getting ready for tryouts. We are working to secure judges for tryouts, but are not sure what type of compensation to offer. They are only needed for an hour one day. However, some of the people we have asked are studio owners and people we work with on a professional level outside of dance team. We don't want to offend them, but also don't want to overcompensate. I know that college dance team members get paid about $50 to judge tryouts.
