I just saw Celtic by Design's Emily wig and I am totally in love with it, but I'm a little nervous about shipping wigs back and forth across the country.

Does anyone have any photos of the wig on them (preferably from the front) or any opinions on it? Does it frizz easily? Do you like it? Is there a lot of volume?

oh i really love it! it reminds me alot of my maeve sr. but a bit tighter. I havent heard anything bad about the company so i would so go for it!

I also think it looks awesome. Go for it! Haha and then post a picture of yourself wearing it from the front so we can all see one!

Yeah, I thought pretty much the same. I've been wearing the Grainne, though, which is HUGE, so I figure it's probably about the same with different curls.

I buy all my wigs from Celtic by Design and have had no problem with returns. Try it!

That was another concern, though I thought that if I sent a picture of the colour I wanted, that they could send the nearest.

My wig is from them, they're great. I actually trained with the gal in the pic for the O last year. I have the same wig that I've had since I've started dancing, and it's held up really well, obviously, otherwise I would have upgraded by now. I will caution you that color can be tough to match through pictures though, but why don't you email them and see if they can mail you a color ring or something? Or just ask about returns? They are really nice, I'm sure it'll work out great.

Thanks so much! That's a great idea, it would be awesome to match it with an actual ring. Sooo glad to hear they hold up well!

I should add that I've been dancing for about 5 1/2 years, so the wig is about that old.

Also, after doing more research, I found this on their website:

How do I choose the color of the wig?

We can send you a color ring at the cost of $25 USD, which will be credited to your order when the color ring is returned. This way, you can match the color directly to the hair.

TIP from my experience: make sure you match the ring to the TOP of your hair (the part that shows when you'd have the wid ON), because your hair color bleaches in the sun so the ends are probably lighter than the roots.

I think this would be your best bet of getting the right color, and you don't actually loose anything, since they'll put the $25 toward your order.

Definitely will! Trying a few on this weekend, but I really love this one.

Celtic by Design is great to work with! Our school just started to order wigs from them and they sent us a color wheel and samples of wigs for us to use. We just got the Emily sample and it is a very pretty wig and will be ordering it for our Senior dancers. Sharyn is extrememly helpful and they offer great deals on group pricing if there are several girls in your school who need wigs.

I highly recommend them!!

if I didn't already have one, I would buy it!

another tip for colour issues, maybe send them a snip of your old wig for colour. unless you want to change colours, then maybe take a tiny tiny snip of your hair from the back where it wont be noticable. sounds a bit dramatic, but if you do that and send it to them, they can get an idea of what you want, assuming if you dont get the colour ring.
