I am studying Culinary Arts and Journalism. One of which is heavy with writing requirements, the other of which has pretty much no writing requirements. So it's an odd balance.

Freshman year, I have:
Geometry
Algebra 2
Honors English 1
Civics
PE
Foods and Nutrition 1
Speech 1
Health
Earth Science
French 1

We do block schedule (four 1.5 hour classes per day, except for English and SS, which share a block and are 45 minutes a day all year), so one credit is half a year, so we take more classes per year but need more credits to graduate than a school that has regular 45-60 minute classes/
