Today, we're going to do a brief warm-up, and then learn a big chunk of choreography. No video this week; I went to record it and found out that the power cord for the video camera is missing. Haha, just my luck. So I've ordered a new one, but don’t hold your breath =\

Floor Warm-Up
Teardrops-Massive Attack
www.youtube.com . . .

Start in a butterfly postion. Hold, back straight, shoulders directly over hips, for 16 counts.
Expand, pulling forward from your belly-button, hold 8 counts.
Contract, pulling backward from your belly-button, hold 8 counts.
Expand again, hold 8 counts.
Bend over, keeping your back flat, hold 16 counts.
Relax, bending your back, nose-to-toes, hold 16 counts.

Keeping your head down, extend your legs to the front (pike), feet pointed. Hold 16 counts.
Come up, arms in fifth position, back straight with shoulders over hips, hold with feet pointed for 8 counts.
Flex feet and hold for 8 counts.
Go down, and pull your heels off the ground for 16 counts.
Make sure that you are pushing the backs of your knees into the ground as much as possible throughout these exercises.

Come up, and spread your legs into a straddle.
Reach over your head to the right for 16 counts.
Rotate to the center, 16 counts.
Rotate to the left over your head, 16 counts.
Come up, hold with arms in second, feet pointed for 8 counts.
Flex feet and hold for 8 counts.
Point feet again, and reach, nose-to-knee, to the right, hold 16 counts.
Rotate to the center, 16 counts.
Rotate to the left, nose-to-knee, 16 counts.

Go into a right jazz split. Hold for 32 counts.
Switch to a left jazz split. Hold for 32 counts.

Go into your furthest straddle, pull-through into a center split, and continue through to your stomach. Take 8 counts, and repeat.

Hold right, left, and middle splits for 32 counts each.

Hold a "Bridge-Up" for 16 counts.

Choreography
www.youtube.com . . .

Begin standing straight, feet parallel and together, head down.
Hold "It's like you're a ." in this position.
On the word "drug", raise your right arm up through the side to a loose high V, raising your head as you do so. Then, pull your arm down again, head going back down.
"De-" of "demon": Step on your right leg to the right in the first step of a chaine in plie.
"-mon" of "demon": Step on your left leg, completely the chaine turn in plie.
"Can't": Calypso leap to the floor.
Hold "Face down": in your tuck position on the floor.
"It's like I'm": Roll backwards.
"Stuck": hit a "candlestick" position on the floor. I couldn't really find a good picture or video of one, but, if you don't know what one is, it's basically the first pose the kid hits in this video (www.youtube.com . . .). However, I'd like for you to place your hands straight down (right by your sides), and put your hands under your back to support your body…If that makes sense, haha.
"It's like I'm running": roll around and stand up to the back, arms pulled slightly behind you, right leg behind left leg.
"You": Step on your right leg to the back, and bring your arms up into a loose high v.
"Time": Rotate to the front, pulling your arms down across your face.
"And" Step across to the front with your left leg.
"I Know": Assemble battu, land in fifth position, right foot in front.
"I": Bring arms to fifth position.
"Let you have": Bend straight down the front (front port-a-bras), then come back up.
"All the": Hold arms in second position, with the hands flexed, as if you were pressing against something , lean right.
"Power": Lean left.
"It's": Sous-Sous.
"Like": Pull legs apart to flat second position.
"The only company": Rotate down to left leg with arms in 5th. Rotate around through center to right leg.
"I seek": Come up, hands down, feet together, facing right front corner.
"Is misery all": Plie, bringing arms to a low 1st position.
"A-": Tilt leap
"-round": Land in original position.
______________________________________
"It's like you're a": Rotate to the front left corner, left foot in front. Left arm in above head (open 4th). Right foot is slightly off the ground.
"Leach": Plie on the left leg, and straighten your left arm. Return to original position.
"Sucking": Brush your right foot to the front left corner and close it crossed. Unwind yourself to the front. Arms rise up as you turn.
"Life from me": Slowly lower your arms.
"It's like": Sous-sous, and come down.
"I can't" Echappe releve
"Breathe: Open legs to parallel seconds. Pull your arms in front of your body and down (Sorry, hard to explain)
"Without": Step on your right foot to the front.
"You inside": Chasse, facing the right (Left/Right/Left) to the front (If that makes sense…? Your body's facing the right, but you're moving to the front)
"Of me": Tour jete. End facing the back.
"And I know": Hold
"I let": Chaine to your right.
"You have": Chaine
"All the power": Pique turn and end up facing the front
"And I realize": Step onto your left foot to the front, raise your right foot into a low arabesque, and put your arms in a loose high-V
"I'm never": Step dramatically onto your right foot, and push down with your right arm.
"Gonna": Step onto left foot and push left arm.
"Quit": Bring right foot to the knee, turned-out. Left foot on releve, left arm straight up (relaxed, though) and right arm at about a 45 degree angle (high V-ish)
"You": Step across with your right foot.
"O-"Step out with your left foot, right hand brushes against cheek.
"-ver time" Rotate so that you are facing the right. Right foot in on the ground, Left foot in medium arabesque. Both arms are pulled back.

Just got my bellybutton pierced today so I won't be able to participate in the warm-up this week. But, I'll try to do what I can of the choreography. Thanks!

Haha I've gone bonkers, I just scrolled through it real quick and thought I saw 'salutes' and was about to ask what they were but luckily I scrolled back up and realised it was sautes...
