Hey teachers
My studio just got its costomes in. I picked all of mine from Revolutions. I am utterly shocked at the great quality of these costumes. They actually look better then the picture which as you all know is shocking. Also I kept all the costume prices under $35 and they do not look cheep AT ALL. Also in the back of the book they had tear out cards of all costumes so you can pull them out so other teachers do not choose the same outfit. I have had a few bad experiences with ordering costumes, but by far these are the best I have ordered in 10 years of teaching. 22 Replies to Revolutions costumes |

I ordered the Snow Queen? costume last year from Revolution. It was absolutely stunning. Wanted to order from them this year, but nothing fit my routines. I just wish they had more of a selection.
I see that they have a sneak preview of their 2010 costumes and I see a couple that I would love to use! |

I absolutely love this company! Not only do they have great costumes but the bags that came with them are wonderful! I will definitely be ordering from them for many years to come. |

I would definitely order all of my costumes from them if they had a bigger selection! I had one costume come in that did not fit, the neck whole was two small to pull up over the child's hips. I called and they sent a new one that day (in a bigger size) and I returned the smaller costume for a full refund.
I had 4 costumes come in from another company with arm holes so small they left indentions in the girls' skin. I might have new ones in time for recital. They are also sending some extra arm strap fabric in case the new ones do not arrive in time....
I LOVE Revolution!
(Did you see their new full sole tap oxford...I am excited to try it out!) |

AGREED!!!
Not only do they give you a nice hanging bag, free accessories with many of their costumes, awesome prices and great-looking costumes, but they are also pleasant to deal with!! I strongly feel that in this biz, customer service from costume companies is HUGE!! Even if we find the perfect style costume from a certain company (we've had a particularly hard time with this year) next year, we will not order from them just because of their customer service.
We will definitely be ordering as much as we can from Revolution next year! |

Nothing but wonderful things for me to say about this company. The costumes are gorgeous, inexpensive but "rich" looking. Love them. Packaging wonderful. accessories wonderful! I hope they expand their catalog because I ordered many from them this year and they have definately won a customer in me. |

When I looked through their selection I thought they were expensive but I suppose not if they quality is good. Any other costume companies you recommend? I've done a lot with Weissman's
and found their prices good. Some costumes are much better then pictured and some not. |

I know this thread is getting kind of old - but i wanted to throw out some praise for revolution as well. Knew about their shoes but didn't know they had a costume line until this year when I was frantically trying to find something to fix the horrible mess Designworks had put me in - The customer service was super nice and incredibly helpful and I received the costumes in 2 days. ONLY 2 DAYS! Will for sure be using them next year as much as I possibly can. |

I love this company and I hope that they continue with their high quality products at affordable prices. Maybe the other companies will follow suit.
I wonder if they will be able to continue to be so fast once their costumes become more popular and many schools discover this and order more? |

90% of my costumes are from them this year and the parents fell in love with them. So pleased with their product and their service. Hope they expand their line next year! |

I have also used Revolution costumes( and their shoes and tights) They really are beautiful- However- beware-if you have any issues the customer service is not very good. Last year I had several issues. Rhinestone falling off an entire class of costumes, and the fans that came with it fell apart after one five minute use. I was told they were not meant to be rehearsed with..Hello, who does a dance with a prop and doesnt rehearse with it??? They didnt even make it through one full run thru...staff was quite nasty about it.. Needless to say I had to find fans elsewhere that matched the costume...just aggrivating.
The thing that really bothered me was I recieved a costume in the wrong size. The bag said SM Child(which was what I ordered) but the costume inside was a CL- a huge difference. OK STuff happens, but when I called about it they basically said that I was lying( to what end I dont know) and wouldn't send me the correct size until they got the other one back. and they wanted me to pay the shipping!!!!needless to say I was not happy with that.
I will not order costumes from them again. I still use the shoes and tights- but you cannot return anything to them. Not loving that..But the pricing and quality is good.. soooo..Priorities, I guess |

Do you mean that? I, and my new bosses, have had no problems. I still have my account and deal with them, on a smaller basis, but never had an issue. I cannot say that means they never do, but I personally never had a problem |

I have used them and loved them.
Sizing does not fit the sizing chart, however. They run small. |

Just checking in to add my two cents....total agreement about Revolution. Our recital was Sunday and everyone loved the Revolution costumes the best. They look nice from stage and the kids don't complain about "scratchyness". I ordered some two years ago and again this year. I just wish there was a greater selection.
Are the leotards the same quality as the costumes? I don't particularly like the shoes. Maybe it's just me. Spoiled by Bloch. |
re: Revolutions costumes en>fr fr>en By Dream_chaser Comments: 20332, member since Thu Jul 26, 2001On Tue Jun 23, 2009 08:55 AM
The leotard and tights are good quality. I like the shoes and the kids said that they did not feel a difference between them and other name brands.
We used the jazz boots, the tap shoes, the stretch ballet for the young kids, the canvas ballet for the older kids and the only time we did not use their tights was for our ballet because the company director preferred seamed tights. |
