My doggies came to visit me in the studio halfway through my workout. So for me, sometimes ballet does go to the dogs!

Isn't it funny how pets, although they may not understand the concept of ballet or photography, know when you're doing something "special" and want to participate? The minute I start doing a workout or stretch video both my cat and dog join me in the living room. They know that soon I'll go to the floor and then I'll REALLY be fair game. So I have to lock them in the bedroom.

I love how your dog has his paw on your foot. He knows there's something special about those green pointe shoes even though he doesn't understand what.

Hmmmmm...are they "ballet dogs?" Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Your doggie pictures are cute, and your series of pictures with the tutu that doubles as a hat or background, is really clever. I also like your comment about wearing out your Gaynor Mindens - it just proves you "do the work" on pointe.

Mother's Day Dancing with Dogs

This is such a cute set! My dogs like to watch me while I practice pointe, and my cat enjoys playing with the ribbons (she has been declawed, and had to have her teeth pulled due to gum disease, so I don't mind). I haven't done pointe yet with my new puppy around due to a minor injury, but I'm sure that he will enjoy my shoes.
