Marley is expensive and you can expect to pay several thousands of dollars for it. What is the size of the studio that you are looking to use it in? Some places sell by the square yard, others by the roll, some even come in pieces. There are so many different types of dance flooring too. Here is a link I found to a few different types you might want to look at

I don't know what type of flooring you have now, but you really should consider a sprung floor of some sort before you put marley down too. Here is another link for that information if you would like to research it.

thanks for the links! Yes I agree I need to get a sprung floor first and then plan to put marley over it. My husband can build the sprung floor - so that saves money! I appreciate you taking time to get the links! thanks...

Stage Step was the most affordable, as they manufacture their own, keeping costs down.

Other options is to look for used flooring. Many companies will sell old flooring that is in good condition but it marked up to much for performances. Try writing then to find out when they need to sell. You might be surprised.

I bought some flooring from a small company in DC for 10% of original cost and the rest from a school that was closing.

get "fake marley". I don't know what it's really called, but it's great! We found a big flooring store that had some in their warehouse that they couldn't sale. We got it super cheap and it's wonderful! I actually like it better than real marley! So do the kids!
