I haven't been on in awhile, sorry!

If there is one thing you could do to change the world what would it be?
It bothers me so much that so many people don't have a place to call home. I have witnessed so many people on the streets, and I know people are living in conditions as harsh as that all over the world. I think everybody should have a bed to sleep in and protection from the outside elements. I take this foregranted, as I lay on my bed on my laptop, listening to the pouring rain.

What are your life goals?
I want to make a difference and touch people's lives in some way. I love preforming, so to do something in that field would be amazing. I'm also considering being a doctor, nurse, writer, or endangered species activist. So, hopefully my career will acomplish making a difference.

What makes you happy?
I feel happiest on stage preforming. Today was my dance recital, and I got to be on stage 9 times. So right now I'm in a great, hurting mood. I'm also in a summer play, so for 8 nights in august I will be dancing, acting, and singing, two of my other passions. So I get to be on stage, happy the most. Although, I generally think I'm a generally excitable person. The smallest things can make me happy, especially other happy people. I always pick up on people's emotions, so even when I'm not happy I tend to act happy so others will be.

If you could take back/change one thing you've done in your life, what would it be?
I really wouldn't change anything. Looking back, I've definitely made mistakes, but I learned from them and good things came out of them. I'm in a good place now, and I wouldn't want anything to be different. Because if the bad was changed, maybe the good in my life that came out of it would be changed too.

What are you hobbies?
As I mentioned before, I dance. I take 7 classes and I'm on a competition team. I also do shows, when I act, or I act, sing and dance. I take singing lessons also, and I've improved alot, but I still aren't that good (so guess how I started!) I also enjoy making things, like clothes, and those braceletes made of thread (I do those in school classes...). Now that dance is over, my time will be consumed with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, until dance starts in July, when I will go straight from dance to rehearsals. =]

What inspires you?
I believe everything inspires me. Honestly. I mean me, who is sports challenged, saw the field hockey girls in gym and was like "I want to be apart of that" and considered trying out next year for months. Seeing my high school dance team makes me want to join, although my schedule doesn't allow it. Reality TV, game shows, CSI Miami. You name it, I see it and feel a need an urge to do it, be a part of it, and excel at it. The olympics are very stressful for my mom, since last year I wanted to be a swimming gymnyst runner volleyball player.

What has been the most significant accomplishment in your life?
I'd have to say dance as a whole. I trully believe dance came and found me after I quit in kindergarden. I feel like I have accomplished a lot with it so far, and I want to continue in the future. So it's more not like my greatest accomplishment, its my greatest accomplishing. I have been diving headfirst into dance and if I fall, I'm determined to get back up.

If you could take me with you and show me one place in the whole world, where would it be and why?
I would take you to my studio. I spend so much time there, and I know it like my own home. We just moved into it last June, and it shows how far my studios grown from the tiny place we started in, to the second, to this one.

If you could go on a holiday to anywhere, where would it be and why?
I would love to go to Africa (or South America?) or wherever there are a lot of giraffes in their natural habitat. They are my favorite animal, and they are a vunerable species for extintion. They are incredibly friendly and sociable animals, so I'd love to observe their interactions.

If you could teach/tell something to the whole world, what would it be?
I would just want everyone to know that they can make there voices heard. To find something you are passionate about, and persue it. I think that to many people are unhappy at their jobs. Sometimes you have no choice, but at least try a passion or hobbies on the side to make you happy. I cannot stand it when people are unhappy or miserable. I always feel like they need to be happy again, or it'll drive me insane.

Edited by KangarooPaw (131132) on 2009-06-13 23:05:40 Apparently I should have a goal called "learn how to spell"...haha
I apologize for being late on this, it's been a tough and very busy month, plus next week is show week for us so we're going and going and going nonstop! haha

Anywho...

If there is one thing you could do to change the world what would it be?

I can only change one thing? (Just kidding.) There are so many issues this world has, and to be honest it's difficult to choose just one thing to change. If it ever were deemed necessary to change just one thing, I'd have to go with the way this country handles its problems. Everyone seems to have a different opinion on the way things are solved, but those differences also get in the way of reaching some kind of helpful solution. In order to find a solution that works for everyone in some way, we must all learn to accept each other's differences of opinion, and embrace them in a way that will allow our country to start solving our problems. If I could make everyone see that, and start working together as one nation to overcome our multiple problems (hunger, debt, homelessness, etc etc) then that's what I'd choose to do.

What are your life goals?

Life goals...well, I've already started them. My first goal was to graduate high school, which I did. I was the first girl in 7 generations on my father's side to do so, and my mother didn't graduate high school, so that was a major accomplishment for me personally. I do come from a broken home, and a goal of mine since I was old enough to understand that has been to not end up like my parents. That may sound bad, but I don't mean it in a disrespectful way in the least- my father is pretty much non-existent except for when he pops up once every few years to say hi, and my mother has told me all my life not to end up like her. Admitting that my family isn't your typical American family and that it is a broken home is not a plea for help- I help myself and do not expect nor want any pity from anyone. I'm strong on my own and I'm proud of it. My next goal was to attend college, which I am currently doing, with a GPA of 3.783, which does not come from just being smart, more from hard work to understand things and do them the right way. Another goal was to become a dance teacher, which I have also accomplished. The opportunity to share my love of dance with kids and to teach them lifelong lessons that will benefit them in multiple aspects of their lives is something I've always wanted to be able to do. My next goal is to get my master's degree in education, and become an English teacher. After that, I'd love to settle down with my current boyfriend of almost two years, because he's still the most amazing person I know, which doesn't get said often after dating someone for a long time unless it's meant to be, in my opinion. I want to start a family, and when my family is secure, I'd love to go to culinary school. Cooking is my second passion. After that, I want to raise my family the right way and see them off to start their own lives, and possibly start up a restaurant or something, then finish out my life with my husband by my side.

What makes you happy?

Not to sound cliche, but being on the stage or in the studio by myself, just dancing has always been the thing that makes me happiest, because I can let all of my emotions out, regardless of what they are, and not care who sees. Right up on top of the list also is watching my dance kids on stage. Knowing that I was the one to teach them what they know and to give them the confidence to step out on a stage and have fun makes me feel enormously happy. I taught my nine year old her first solo this year, and the first time she did it on stage, I cried my eyes out because she was absolutely beautiful and I was so proud of her, and it made me the happiest person in the world knowing that I taught her dance and gave her the confidence to step out on a stage all by herself for the first time ever with no hesitation. Of course, being with my boyfriend also makes me extremely happy, not because he's my boyfriend, but because he's the one person in this world that I can tell absolutely anything to and he will understand me and support me 100%. He's my best friend, and spending time with such a positive and phenomenal personality makes me very happy.

If you could take back/change one thing you've done in your life, what would it be?

I don't think I'd change anything I've ever done. I believe firmly that everything has a purpose for happening, and things would have played out differently for me if I'd done something different, so I wouldn't want to change the present by changing the past in any way.

What are you hobbies?

I would say "dance is my hobby," but it's not- it's my passion in life. My actual hobbies are cooking, which is becoming more of a passion, lacrosse, reading (yes, I actually read books for fun), and photography.

What inspires you?
(Mine is more like WHO inspires me, because there are three very important people who inspire me more than anyTHING ever could.)

My nine year old sister inspires me, because she's so young and full of life, but is also very smart for her age- not just academically (moved up a grade what?) but mentally in general, she is a very intelligent child. She's also beautiful on the inside and outside, and we are very close to each other even though we are 12 years apart. I would do anything for her and I always try to do whatever I can to make her happy.

My grandmother also inspires me because she's a positive person at all times, regardless of what she's going through. She has had a very rough life and she smiles through all of it. She has always done whatever she can for my sisters and I, and I am eternally grateful to have her in my life and for everything she has done for me. She's always pleasant to everyone whether she likes them or not, and she makes everyone around her smile.

The last person who inspires me in a big way is my boyfriend. I don't want it to seem like I'm a love-struck teenager, because it's far from that type of situation. I have known him for a very long time, and he has always been the nicest guy I know. He makes me want to be a better person and is always pushing me to better myself, because he knows I can do anything I put my mind to. He makes everyone laugh and can light up a room just by walking into it. He really is what inspires me to dance- his passion for it is just as big as mine, and we push each other in different ways to become better people and better together.

What has been the most significant accomplishment in your life?

I feel like the most significant accomplishment so far in my life is the passing of my love for dance on to all of the kids I teach or have taught in the past. For a parent to tell me how inspiring I am to their daughter and how I've done so much for their child means a lot to me and makes me feel so good. The other thing that would easily fall under this category would be the fact that I am accomplishing all of my goals even when there are bumps in the road along the way.

If you could take me with you and show me one place in the whole world, where would it be and why?

I'd take you to the back dance room of the studio. That's where I spend a lot of time not only dancing, but thinking and reflecting on anything I want or need to. It's where I'm most comfortable and can lay everything out on the table at any given time. If you wanted to see who I really am and didn't have a lot of time, you'd have to watch me dance by myself (improvising, no choreography) because that's where I'm most vulnerable and can pour my heart out through dance at any time, whether I have an audience or am just dancing for myself.

If you could go on a holiday to anywhere, where would it be and why?

I'd go to the beach on Oahu. I have seen pictures of it from a friend and it's probably the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. To me a beach is both peaceful and eventful at the same time, which to me would be the perfect vacation spot because it would suit whatever mood I was in. I could lay on the beach at sunset and watch the water, or I could go surfing and swim in the waves.

If you could teach/tell something to the whole world, what would it be?

I'd teach the world to embrace their lives as they are, find something that inspires them, and try to be the best person they can be. I don't like it when people think they have nothing to live for- everyone has something to live for, whether they know it or not. Everyone has a purpose in life and it's their job to find out what it is and try to have the best life they possibly can. I think that if everyone were to do this, there would be less suicides, less murders, the crime rates in general would drop significantly, wars would be less common, and people would be more at peace not only with themselves, but with each other. Something as simple as this could make the world a much better place, and it doesn't require large amounts of money or anything materialistic- it simply requires that you believe in yourself and try to make the best with what you have, and to build on what you have until you have achieved your goals and are happy with your own life.

Same with me! When I saw the list of participants for Miss Arabesque, I was so excited for some activity. But now....only two for this round? I'm sure some people opened the thread, saw the questions and thought "I'll do that some other time." and just forgot. Like KP said. lol

I'm really sorry, I only just saw this!

If there is one thing you could do to change the world what would it be?
I would stop wars. There are too many live being lost in wars, and most of them end up causing nothing but grief, nothing good happens because of them, all it does is take away people loved ones, their possessions, their houses, and break up families and takes away too many lives. Also there are people who's jobs are to design new guns and weapons which cause death, surely if you know what it is like to lose a loved one, nobody would want that job, they must have no soul

What are your life goals?
I would love to be a professional dancer, but I don't think that is very realistic. I want to set up a studio that will make a difference to people's lives. I want to have a pre-pro section but also a recreational section, and I want to go into places like children's homes and children's hospices and teach them to dance, to bring a little light into their lives
But also doin

What makes you happy?
In one word - dancing. Also being with my friends. Lots of things make me happy I guess. But the one thing that makes me really happy is when you know you've helped someone, or made a difference to their lives!

If you could take back/change one thing you've done in your life, what would it be?
I don't think I would. Obviously there are things I have done wrong, and somethings I regret, but if I hadn't done them, I wouldn't have learned from them and wouldn't be the person I am today

What are you hobbies?
Primarily dancing, it takes up a lot of my time, but also I play the piano and flute, and I like to read and do crafts. I also love cooking and baking

What inspires you?
A lot of things inspire me, but I think the one thing that inspires me the most is my dance teacher. She is such a fabulous dancer, and when she shows us how to do something I want to be able to do it as well as her. And she is also very encouraging and can tell when you have been working hard!

What has been the most significant accomplishment in your life?
I would say as a whole, dance is my main achievement, just looking back and seeing how much I have improved in the past 6 years is just astounding

If you could take me with you and show me one place in the whole world, where would it be and why?
I would take you to my studio and show you the place where I spend so much of my time, and I also want to show you my teacher so that you can see how great she is

If you could go on a holiday to anywhere, where would it be and why?
I would love to go on a safari to south africa and see lots of animals - that so far I have only seen on TV or in zoos - in their natural habitat, and so close up!

If you could teach/tell something to the whole world, what would it be?
I'd tell them that if they want something that much that they are willing to work very hard and dedicate most of their time to it, they can achieve it no matter what it is, if they want it that much they can do it

Is there even enough interest for another segment? Or should I just place this section and combine it with the first?

If there is one thing you could do to change the world what would it be?
The one think I would change is to make everyone be as lucky as me and my friends. I have a home and a chance to do anything I would like to try, other people just dont have that chance, everyone should.

What are your life goals?
Well, I have a few life goals. To dance better. To Improve really everything I do really and become a better person that everyone will like!:)

What makes you happy?
Making other people happy makes me happy :) Like giving presents or saying thinks that make them smile:)

If you could take back/change one thing you've done in your life, what would it be?
Not of given up ballet when I was 4. If I didnt I could be so much better.

What are you hobbies?
My hobbies are, Reading, Playing saxophone and violin, Dancing (ballet, Jazz, Ballroom and Latin, Tap) and also playing in lots of bands and with dance groups, I also go on the computer a lot!

What inspires you?
The think that inspires me to dancing now is that I have been to the Royal Opera house and seen studios where the Dancers of the Royal ballet rehearse. It was extremly Inspiring and I wish one day i could dance there.

What has been the most significant accomplishment in your life?
O, thats a hard one! Probably when I completed my first dance solo. That was a great accomplishment and made me feel more confident in myself. I dont no if that counts!

If you could take me with you and show me one place in the whole world, where would it be and why?
The royal Opera house. Its stunning and grand and takes your breath away. Everyone should see it and watch a preformance there once in there life.

If you could go on a holiday to anywhere, where would it be and why?
Russia to see the famous Russian ballet in there Grand Theatre.

If you could teach/tell something to the whole world, what would it be?
Enjoy everything you do because your lucky you get to do it:)

Thanks, I dont no if this is still open or that was right, but o well!
