I was wondering if anyone could offer me information about dance studios in the KCMO area? I am relocating from New York City this summer to be closer to family. The internet hasn't been much help.
Do studios in this area home grow their teachers or are they receptive to outside teachers? Also, are there studios that are more/less respected? I don't do trashy, innappropriate movment or music and would like to join a technique focused studio.

I currently teach at Steps on Broadway
I judge and teach for one of the oldest/largest competition circuits
I received my BPA from Oklahoma City University in 1994 and have been teaching every since
I am a member of Dance Masters and Dance Educators
I have extensive teaching, choreographing and performing experience
I teach hip hop, tap, jazz, musical theater and primary ballet, all levels, pre-school through advanced/pro

I would really appreciate any help!!! I lived in Chicago for about 5 years and have been here in NYC for about 10 and I am a little lost making this move. It seems like a different world in Missouri when I look at web sites. Thank you in advance for your help!!!!!
