Really? I mean, there's nothing wrong with talented dancers getting a chance to showcase their skills, but I can tell you 99.5% of the time at competitions ONE solo is usually more than enough for me to watch. Unless this competition is filled to the brim with fantastic dancers (it might be, I dunno, what's it called?), I feel like that could get... sickening.

Let me be the first to congratulate you! Well done to you and your dancers. I know how much you had invested in this competition so you should feel very proud of yourselves.
YAY! Go you!

Congrats! That is very exciting.
This must be a huge competition-I've been to some that had that many entries combined from all studio's. How big is your company if you don't mind me asking, that seems like a lot of dances!

We're definitely really small. We only took 36 dancers with us. Everyone did more than one thing. And, like usual, we were not the studio with their kids doing the most things! Haha. At this competition, there isn't a limit as to how many you can do, and the fees are really low. It's rare someone will go down and only do one thing. Most dancers do 3-5 solos, a couple duos or trios, a couple of groups. Most groups even do multiple styles. It's definitely not like a lot of those big competitions!

Wow-that is great that your dancers can compete in so many things. It's not uncommon for our company dancers to be in 12+ dances(most for competition as well) but most if not all only have one solo.

Yeah it was crazy. The one girl was in 19 things. I did 16. But it was my last time competing, so I figured, why not go out with a bang! At this competition, in order to qualify for the soloist titles, you need to be in a minimum of 4 solos. They'll take the four highest scores and whatnot. Many even compete with 8 or 9 solos, especially the older ones who aren't in a lot of groups and things.

With how much is going on and where it's located, you don't often have the time to sit and watch everything. Plus there's three floors going on simultaneously for 17 hours each day. The comp's been in business for almost 30 years, so it hasn't been an issue before. Most people don't really sit and watch a lot of things. They're in the room when their age division/category is going on, and then usually then have to leave to do something else.
