Hi!
I can do a la second turns, but I have a hard time finishing them with a parallel double. I can do it sometimes but it doesn't happen every time.My problem is that I do a la seconds with my supporting leg turned out, and I do regular pirouettes with my leg turned in;so when I'm doing my a la second turns and go into a pirouette ,I have a hard time turning my supporting leg in without losing my balance. Any tips? Does anyone have that problem?

You could try keeping your supporting leg turned out while finishing with the pirouette. Or vice versa, try doing your a la seconde with you supporting leg turned in. Sometimes it's hard to change a habit. You could also work on gradually turning your leg in while doing the first pirouette. You may have to practice it and find what's best for you.

thanks for the reply. Isn't it wrong to do a la scond turns with the supporting leg turned in? I've seen people do it that way, but I'm not sure if it's techniquely correct. But I'll try it.

Can you do fouettes?
Cause usually I'll do like say 2 a la secondes, and do a fouette at the end into an ala seconde turn, and with the way I was taught fouettes it really does work and help me.

Don't try to turn your supporting leg in while turning.

Work on making each leg work independently if the retire must be parallel.

so, do you keep your supporting leg turned out when you do a parallel pirouette at the end?

yes, I can do fouettes, but I usually finish them with a turned out pirouette.
