thanks for the post! What do you think the best way is to store a wig in between wearing it at competitions to prevent it from frizzing? I've kept it in the skinny ziplock bag it was sold in , then in a plastic container.

I did this & it worked like a charm! Still a tiny bit frizzy, but at least 1000 times better than before & it looks more natural now. Thanks so much! You saved me another 70$ :)

This could also be a fun project that a group of moms could do during a summer weekly session. It is a lot more fun to do when a group of people get together and suffer together.

This is really helpful! But I have a question about the wig conditioner. I need to re-curl an old wig really soon, within the next couple of days and don't have wig conditioner...is there anything else that can be used instead?

Take my comments with a big dose of salt, as I haven't danced Irish (YET). What I have done is historical reenactment and also cosplay, and I've used wigs with delicate little ringlets for both.

My tip is never, ever be afraid of hairspray, Gel and pomade won't work on synthetic hair, but spray? absolutely, and it won't harm the fibers at all. What I've done for costuming needs is SATURATE the darn thing with cheap ultra hold hairspray before each use. The curls will last longer, and coating the fibers will also prevent nasty tangling.

Well done! I could only do this on a wig I thought was beyond hope. I'm so afraid I would make it worse!

Wow! This is a really useful post! I think i will try this on my old bun wig and see if it works for me because I love my old wig, but it lost some of its curl at the bottom! :)

Woohoo! This is just what I needed to see. I hated to relegate old wigs into the dress up clothes bin. Now I won't have to. :)
