As a late starter and being a guy I have been in the minority in class but dancing has helped my health, my mind and my sanity. In these crazy times of job insecurity and stress a one hour lesson in the studio is so much better than jogging 5 miles in the park; At any age and in every way ballet gives you strength, style and stamina - forcing you to concentrate and compose beauty with balance - Wow ! For me the magic 50 is approaching ! Q : Shall we create another section "50 something" or just ignore the age thing and carry on having fun ?

I'm well over 50...I post anywhere I want to and fell I can contribute.

It is just a number and we elders are all so young at heart here on DDN.

I just turned forty-nine and I agree that as the elders of ddn we can post anywhere we want! (Well, except for the opposite gender boards.)

I'll be 49 in August. I RARELY post on this board. It's so head here. I've tried to post here, but it's just not frequented very often.

As others have stated, just post wherever you want, where your replies are appropriate. Our ages don't matter on DDN, but our experiences do!

Good on you!! I'm 57, do 2 classes a week, lady 74 really brilliant, met a triathlon cyclist on our walk yesterday who was over 70.

I post everywhere. It's all about communication and support.
