Is there a list of local winners somewhere that we can see who is competing?

What do you do if a person is doing the intermediate pageant for the 3rd year in a row? She did it in 13-15 for the past 2 years and we saw that she won for 16+ this year. Isn't there a 2 year rule or can you do that for each age division? I thought it was only for the level.

twirlermom..if I think I kno who you are talking about..which I am pretty sure I do, I know for the first year she competed at ayop in the pageant she did not win at the state level but the 1st place stepped down so the twirler was allowed to still compete at ayop with her official two wins at pageant.

The rule is you can only win two CONTESTED Intermediate or Beginner Pageants in one age group. If she moved up to 16+, it's still ok for her to compete.

The NBTA rule reference that supports this:
"A runner-up in a Beginner or Intermediate pageant who gains eligibility to enter National pageant (after first place pageant winner declines to enter national pageant) is not required to count her newly gained eligibility towards the repeat Pageant ruling of two-win maximum."

This is not accurate if you are referring to NBTA. The rules state:
"A State and/or Regional pageant Beginner contestant may win Beginner pageant title two (2) times. A State and/or Regional Intermediate contestant may win Intermediate pageant title two (2) times. Wins do not have to occur within a one-year period. Age has no bearing regardless of the age division in which the wins occurred.
Following a pageant contestant’s second Beginner or second Intermediate pageant win, should the contestant’s Solo status remain the same, she has two options: 1) remain at current Solo status and not enter the next higher pageant level or 2) permanently self advance herself to the higher Solo/Pageant status level. (The above Repeat Pageant rulings so not apply to the 0-6 Tiny Tot pageant division. The number of 0-6 Beginner or Intermediate pageant wins is unlimited.)"

There is no reference to contested vs. uncontested and the only time you can disregard previous wins are the wins in the 0-6 age division. Once moving into the 7-9 division, a twirler can "start over" with the counting of pageant wins, but cannot start over with each new age division. Elsewhere in the rules are references to "protection rule" wins.

most probable winners are folks that should be in advanced divisions. I mean really.

Isn't that the truth! I mean an intermediate that is doing six spins and double illusions...come on, advance your daugher up already!

Yes, it's very sad when you have a true beginner up against girls that should have moved up a long time ago.

That's what it takes to win the title "Pageant Winner" at AYOP or place in top ten. So is it any wonder there are girls holding back and saving that "last solo win" for ayop?
Many talented girls quit solo after winning the second INT title, because they do not want to move up to advanced. So the system that is supposed to encourage advancment, actually can have the opposite effect in some cases.
Perhaps another argument in favor of an Elite division?
Sorry, I know way off topic.
