About AMEBA Acrobatic and Aerial Dance AMEBA Acrobatic & Aerial Dance is a Chicago-based, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to creating, performing and teaching in the realms of Acrobatic Dance and Aerial Dance.
Our vision is to integrate the athleticism and daring of acrobatics and aerial arts into the creative voice of contemporary dance.
Our mission is to enrich society with dance, acrobatics and aerial art forms, cultivating awareness of the value of creativity and physical activity in human life. We believe that both physical activity and creative activity are very important in our society today, where sedentary, consumer lifestyles are becoming the norm. AMEBA provides opportunities for people of all ages to be invigorated by athletic, artistic endeavors.
For 10th Anniversary season beginning September 9, 2009
Seeking male & female dancers with strong contemporary dance technique. No prior aerial experience is required, but dancers must have a desire to study aerial dance techniques, choreography, and repertoire. Because of
the specialized nature of our work, chosen candidates must first complete a 4-month trial and training period. Paid positions follow.
REQUIRED AVAILABILITY
Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays 9:00am-2:00pm
Must be available for all hours above and
weekday and weekend performance events.
AUDITION DETAILS
Saturday August 8, 2009
Check in/Warm Up: 9:30am, Audition: 10:00am – 1:00pm
Callbacks Sunday August 9, 10:00am-1:00pm
The audition will consist of learning movement from our
ground-based repertoire and taking an introductory-level aerial dance class. To reserve your space at the audition, you must email us your name, full contact information and brief statement of interest. We will respond to
