Response: Don't think like that..Although USTA allows gymnastics, it does not make or break an athlete. Danielle Cobb does not do gymnastics at all and has done incredibly well at USTA/WBTF and I think is just as amazing as those who do gymnastics. So everyone has different strengths. Don't count your daughter out!

Unfortunately Olivia is not twirling at the moment. I have heard she had an ankle injury after nationals last year. I also heard she is doing competition cheerleading. We miss her.

Hey everyone! Congrats to all of you on a fine AYOP. I think overall it went fairly smoothe. Kudos to Don Startell and the AYOP Staff for pulling it off.

I also wanted to say Thank you to everyone for their out pour of support as my Grandfather passed away 2 hours before Finals. It was one of the hardest decisions of my life to leave before Twirl-Offs, but I think I made the right one.

Congrats to ALL the new Ms. Majorettes! Have a GREAT year! and to my Duet Partner Danielle Vanscoyk on wining GRAND!!!! Have a great rest of summer everyone, and I hope to see you all at Twirl Mania!

Thank you so much for the kind compliment Jonathan! We did work very hard on that routine and it is a bit sad that we won't perform it anymore! In fact, my sister and I officially retired from competitive twirling after Friday night's Corps Finals. Some would say we should have long ago but we enjoy the sport so much and we had a few things we wanted to accomplish for our brother Bobby. I also want to congratulate you on your success at AYOP!

All the teams looked REALLY good especially the Stepperettes. Another good team that I miss seeing is the Captivators!!! I didn't see them this year or last year! Overall, I thought that AYOP went really well except that the 13-15 Rhythmic was going on at Univ of In @ SB at the same time as Adv. Solos in the field house! That meant my sister couldn't do her Rhythmic and I know other people had that problem too! Great Job to everyone who competed last week!!! :)

I thought all the teams did an amazing job. With the schedule change this year, I was able to watch more of the corps and half-time shows. Razzle Dazzles and the haunted house theme was great, stepperettes as always amazing, Saline and their jungle theme was good too. I was glad I had the opportunity to see them all this year. Great job to all the teams/corps on another outstanding performance.
