BECCA RETTER is a multi-talented dancer, teacher and choreographer. She is a Master Teacher recognized by MusicWorks, Dupree Dance Expo, Dance Masters of America and Dance Educators of America teaching all levels of tap, jazz, lyrical and musical theatre. Becca is an expert at Al Gilbert's tap technique and teaches it to teachers from around the world at the D.E.A. training school in New York and Las Vegas. She can also be seen on countless Stepping Tones educational videos. Previously she taught for Retter's Academy of Dance from 1995-2001 and was also co-director of Starlet Academy. Becca has danced internationally in Canada, Denmark, Guatemala and Russia. Her love and enthusiasm for dance make her a favorite among students and teachers and she always enjoys sharing her talents.

Becca is awesome. Al Gilbert basically groomed Darryl Retter to take over his empire (Al's brother made things complicated after his death, but that is another story.) Anyway he groomed Becca to help with the pre-school and young dancers choreography, music etc. Becca's husband Thommie was involved for awhile too on some level and loved Al, but he is in New York performing on Broadway in the Show Billy Elliot.

So here is what I have wondered... Is Becca Darryl's sister?

no its his wife...they are both amazing. I did a workshop with them last year. She is great with little kid music and helping set a good curriculum for your younger classes:-)

No, Becca is his sister-in-law. (Linda is Darryl's wife, they run a studio in CA). She has some great stuff for kids, we always end up using at least one song for a baby class in the recital. Any musicworks teacher workshop is definitely worth attending.

woops...yes they are correct...it is the sister in law...haha...thats pretty funny but yes she is pretty amazing with kid classes ideas. But Darryl is amazing. I went to a master workshop where he gave great pointers on running a business...he runs a very sucessful studio and he has great advise to share so if you ever have a chance to go to one of his seminars, you should. Again sorry about the wrong info regarding Becca...she is married to Thommie...AMAZING tapper! Anyways, rambling sorry...lol..gnite~
