Hey everyone!

I have never taken pilates classes before and am considering taking classes this fall. Any pointers on looking what to look for in a good studio? Like size of classes (I'm thinking fairly small?), or how to tell if it is a good instructor, etc... I'm pretty clueless so all advice is welcome! Thanks !

Are you wanting mat classes or to work on the equiptment?

That is the first thing you need to consider. Mat classe are offered everywhere, fitness centers, pilates studios, dance studios etc.

Find out where a the teacher was trained and how long they've been teaching. It won't garuntee you they are a great teacher but it will give you a basis for analysis.

Try out classes a few different places and see what appeals to you. A good instructor will be one that makes things clear for you, gives corrections, and has a class pace that suits the ability level of the students.
