I just bought a reversible Yoga/ Pilates mat which is made out of:

Pilates Side (Red): Fully Flocked surface with Polyamide fibre for soft velour feel and durability. Absorbs sweat to help prevent slipping when exercising (also for dance shuffle).

Yoga Side (Yellow): Slip resistant PVC foam base with internal polyester net structure for extra strength

Its pretty heavy and thick and i just want to be assured that people do use polyamide fibre mats for pilates because currently i feel like Im actually carrying a role of rug into class. It really looks like a carpet! haha Theres tiny fibres and while i was working out today in the gym, i saw the exact mat being used below the machines to prevent slip.

I got this item from
www.empind.com.au . . .

I have bought about 3 mats and they are all slippery. Right now Im starting PIlates and Yoga and this mat sounds perfect and convenient. Let me know what you think about it~
