Combined Argentinean Tango and Flamenco dance and percussion intensive training for professional dancers of other backgrounds.

Miriam Faura and Julian Marcelo Elizari will be running a unique program that will give the opportunity to 20 advanced (three or more years of full time training) and professional dancers of other dance backgrounds (Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Commercial, Salsa...) to learn Argentinean Tango and Flamenco dance and percussion technique in order to broader their skills and to prepare professional dancers to work with the company in their future regular events at Race and Rhythm Space in North London. Race and Rhythm DT incorporates Flamenco and Argentinean Tango as main elements in movement vocabulary of their works.
Courses are 6-8 hours a day for five days Mon- Fri and one day performance at Race and Rhythm Space in North London.
All participants will perform at the Argentinean Tango Short Film Festival with a piece created during the week.

Race and Rhythm will also select 6 performers for their upcoming performances on the 15th and 25th October and 17th December and two more possible dates at Race and Rhythm Space plus the possibility of other contracts during the year in Uk and abroad. These will be paid positions.

Dancers who have previously attended to our auditions or contacted us in the past are welcome to apply.

Week 1

13th-18th September 2009 with performance on 20th September. (6-8 hours per day sometimes between 10am and 6pm)

Week 2

21st-25th September 2009 with performance on 25th September.
