Irish Folk Dancing: Sean Nos

Anyone interested in Sean-Nos? It's the traditional solo Irish dancing done in the "old country" before the glitz and pagentry of modern Irish dance. Done in pubs and at home, there are lots of interesting YouTube videos of this old style which emphasizes rhythm over athleticism.

Yes! My friend and I have been doing sean nos for years. We learned the brush dance from Máirtín de Cógáin, and have used that to coreograph our own performance numbers. It's a great time and a fun relaxing way to further connect with the origins of modern Irish dance. AND, it's a lot kinder on the joints!

I'd recommend re-posting this on the Irish boards, as well. I wouldn't have found this if I wasn't just randomly browsing one day, and it technically is a form of ID. :)
