Teaching Assistants New dance school - best way to advertise? en>fr fr>en By khartnett Comments: 14, member since Sun Jul 26, 2009On Wed Aug 19, 2009 02:01 PM
Hello all, I am starting a dance school on the 12th of september I have everything sorted, hired the hall, printed flyers etc.
When you was starting out what did you find the best way to get dancers through the door. I will be teaching beginners from 4+ with other classes depending on how the beginners class goes.
Any thoughts, tips, advice gladfully received
Kind regards kasey 4 Replies to New dance school - best way to advertise? |

Your best bet is to become a full member of the studio owner boards. You will find more information there than in the teaching assistant's area. |

It all depends on your area, but what has worked for me is parades, leaving flyers at different business, I have a booth at the local fair, newspaper ads(this isn't working as much as it used too), Website, word of mouth, taking a flyer up to the school (some schools will allow the teacher to pass it out and others won't, they usually will allow it on the bulletin board though).
Is there already a studio where you are opening one up? This will make things a little harder otherwise it will just take time.

At the moment I will be doing it in a church hall to start off with if it takes off I plan to hire out the dance studio at the local lesiure centre and expand.
The church hall is very low cost which I need as I am just starting out I think word of mouth will be the best advertising its just getting them there first |

You could have an open house and offer free classes. 30 min demo classes for people to try. |
