This year our competition kids are going to do a vampire routine. The girls are 15 to 17 years old. They are doing jazz and are advanced. We want to start with something creepy then cute into something.....any ideas? 15 Replies to Needed a song to match a vampire theme! |

The Twilight soundtrack CD is a lot of fun- I have middle school kids and they love dancing to it. Almost all of the songs have appropriate lyrics. We did a performance to "Supermassive Black Hole" last spring. I would recommend checking it out. The New Moon CD should be out soon with the second movie coming out in November and it will probably have a "vampire" feel to it too. |

I saw someone suggested Cry Little Sister... Oddly enough I just heard a cover of that. I'm not sure who its by but its funkier than the original |

If you can get ahold of the Twilight SCORE, there's some really interesting music on there. We just used that for a vampire themed recital dance. It was really cool, and people were wondering where we found it. |

I remember I did a dance where we were vampires and we used "Black JUJU" by Alice Cooper its slow and strange and then it scares the crap out of you at one point....it screams "wake up wake up wake up" we all got scared in class and then laughed about it. It was a hit at our recital and at competition we had people staring at us. I remember it was one of my favorite numbers. |

My old studio did a vampire themed dance a few years ago. They used Dragula by rob zombie. Than halfway through it went into beautiful people by Marilyn Manson. |
