The account in the name of 'disodancer' has been banned. This was a false account and was being used to lie about a number of topics including false claims of childhood cancer.

We do not tolerate this at Dance.Net.

Lesson to be learned is; Lie and you WILL get caught out.

Smart move discodancer (sarcasm)

Thank you mods for fishing out the bad seeds on DDN. This is a site we dancers come to for good advice, support and just to have fun. We don't need lies flooding our brains, too.

When I read this persons posts I thought they were a bit dodgy that's why I didn't post a reply.

Well done Mods !
After reading on after a while on the post about the child having cancer i did start to suspect something was not right as didnt all add up. It really is beyond me why someone would do something as sick as this.

Hmm.. Guess I missed that piece of drama....

I hope it was painless....

Who WOULD need such drama?

On THAT note, I think I'm off to take a nap.

Be ready for the next drama sortie.... ;)

Shadow.

People -- what with that drama sortie, make me WAIT for it!!

In other words, stay wise to what has happened, and LEARN from the example; do NOT repeat it!

I know someone who is a chronic liar. And the things he makes up go from plausible to absolutely bizarre. I no longer believe anything he says. I wonder why a person would put so much effort into lying? What does it possibly gain you? When the truth comes out, the liar loses so much respect.

Ah, well. Preaching to the choir, I guess...

I was just wondering... what do the mods do to find out if someone was lying about something like that? How do you check things someone posted online without knowing their full real name? Or do the mods have the full names of members? I'm trying to remember when I signed up, if that was something it asks. Haha, that was several months ago, going on a year. I really don't remember much about when I joined DDN.

It's lots of things really. Sometimes it is writing style...an 11 year old kid doesn't have the writing style of an adult. Sometimes it is inconsistencies posting from 6 months ago to now. First they say they have 2 kids and then all of a sudden they have 3. It's hard to keep lies straight. Sometimes people post pictures of imaginary kids and we find them as stock photos through google or another website. Sometimes people aren't brilliant and make us look really super smart.

We also have a few secret magic tricks up our sleeves, but no we do not have people's full names.
