This year my studio was considering going to nationals for the first time ever! And even though it my be early in the year to start talking about nationals I wanted to ask you guys what the differance between nationals and regionals before I bring it up infront of the dance moms! First of all, it can be a lot of fun for the kids. For us its the only time we sleep away together. Just make sure you pick one that's in a fun place, like Wildwood or Hershey. Secondly, you (hopefully) get to see a much wider variety of talent and styles, and it can be fun to meet the dancers and families from different states. Of course, some Nationals are so small they can end up pretty much feeling like a regional.
Many offer classes, often without extra charge. And finally -- it is really cool to be able to honestly call yourself a "National Champion." |

Just to see and compete against the top is amazing. My students love national competitions. |
