I started at age three, but quit soon after. I took it up seriously at age seven.

I started at age 15! I'm 17 now and still LOVE it.

Ever since I was 2, but the first years don't really count.

I was really little when I first started but I quit when I was seven. I started dancing again when I was twelve and I wish I has never stopped at all.

I started dance when I was 3 and continued till I was 10. My parents couldn't afford Boston Ballet anymore so I stopped for two years. I am now back and yesterday was the end of my second year back and first year on pointe. I had 5 dances off pointe and 3 dances on pointe.

So mom and dad allways disapproved it to do so...At 18 they couldn't do much with allow or not. But hoped I hated it very quick. And I didn't.

Then I quit on 33 and started at 35 again, where I am now. Ofcourse I will never be a pro, which is a bit sad...Maybe in an other life

I took jazz, tap , and ballet when I was 5 then I quit for gymnastics (on and off) for 4 years now I'm 13 and taking jazz(and ballet next year)! I'm reading through these and a lot of you dancers quit at a young age and started up in your teens!
