The theme is shopping and I am having and really really hard time finding music for my pre school ballet. Tap is so easy, this makes me want to pull my hair out

Musicworks Unlimited has some shopping themed songs and a Miss Puffie Goes Shopping cd with lots of different mall stores on it. Maybe you can find something on there!?! |

We did "My Mamma told me you better shop around" for 4 &5 year olds. They carried a white and gold shopping bag and then pulled a white and gold boa out and danced with it!Really cute! |

You can do anything Disney and call it the Disney store...
You can represent the bedding department and do a lullabye song or A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes
Any Teddy Bear song can be the Build A Bear store
My school did this theme last year and the little ones had teddy bears and danced to When SomeBody Loves Me (I love Jordan Pruitt's version) and were the Disney Store (It's from Toy Story)
Donny Osmond sings And They Called It Puppy Love....Cute for a pet store and it's slow

Warning, if you are doing a Disney theme, do NOT call it anything Disney. Disney music is NOT covered under other licensing companies and if they find out, you can pay hefty fees.
I called mine, "The Wonderful World of Dance" and had a world with two circles to sort of be Mickey's ears but had two dancers in the circles (part of my logo). I called it that because the show that used to be on TV was called the, "The Wonderful World of Disney".
I was careful not to advertise that it was about Disney. |
