I have someone signed up for Jazz and her class starts this upcoming Monday. On her registeration form (under medical info) her mom put down nickel allergy. Her class is right after a tap class so I wanted to make sure this wont be a problem. I could call her mom to talk to her about it and I still might depending on the responses on here but I figured I should first find out if Taps are even made with nickel. I tried googling it but didn't have much luck. I'm hoping someone on here knows! Thanks

I would imagine that this would be more of an issue with wearing jewellery. Maybe the mum put it down in case she was ever asked to wear a costume with a necklace or something.

Ask her what the reaction is if she comes in contact with it and if she could be specific as to possible problems.

I have a slight nickel allergy and it is contact only (earrings/neclaces), however, i would ask mom , as someone else stated, because i do have allergies where i must carry an epi-pen in case of a reaction. Find out exactly how she reacts, rashes, breathing difficulties, salivating, anything that could tell you she is having an allergic reaction. it also might be nothing. Hope this helps...
