Ok well her's the deal. I'm a decently fit guy. I'm not chubby but I'm the fattest person at my dance studio. I alredy taking around 7 classes a week and am eating healthy but I can't seem to get rid of thoes extra pounds what can I do to get rid of the rest? 5 Replies to Need to lose weight. |

I find that lots of regular WALKING really keeps one fit & slim. Its the exercise I do the most and I find it burns fat the best of ANY exercise I've ever done. (Dancing is also just as good, but I walk more than I dance..lol) Most folks just dont walk anymore, they need to turn off the tv annd the computer and just move... |

Well 7 classes a week is definelty a workout if you ask me, because in most of those classes (or not all of them) will have a warm-up right? So I don't know what your studio does, but my jazz and lyrical classes have a tiny bit of cardio before so that helps, it also does abs abs and abs. So where I'm getting with this is that for fat to burn you need a minimal of 20 minutes cardio so i'd suggest that you go for a run maybe before school or after dance? If thats too much for you because you dance so much then keep in mind that you won't notice a huge difference right off the bat but just keep positive and lay off the sweets and that junk and I'm sufre you'll have "wash-board" abs sooner then later.

Definitely a little bit of aerobics, like I do, helps alot. And weight training will tone your body and burn fat calories too, contributing to weight loss.  Good luck, and safe and fun exercising.

Thought y'all deserved an update so I am losing weight. It not as fast as I want but ut is an improvement also something that my mom pointed out to me is that I need to watch the tape measure not the scale (since mussel weighs more than fat) so thanks to all who gave the advice and keep dancing |

Nutrition plays a big role in losing weight. Training 7 days a week is definetly enough for a workout. Do you do core excersises too or just dance? If you are not losing weight I'm pretty sure that the problem is your diet. Also, remember to drink lots of water.
