I am a new studio and never had "picture day" at any of the studios that I have taught at, however I really like the idea of it. I was looking for advice or info. on how to go about it. Do you get a percentage of what the photographer makes and do you pay for the session or do the dancers pay?? Any info. you could provide would be great!
THANKS

I ask for all students to come for the group photos. The parents have the option to purchase individual packages of the child in costume. The photographer lets them select the pose on the spot (view it on a laptop).

This year, I switched photographers. For the past few years, I only (rather the studio) got 10% of the total sales. With the new photographer, the studio (I teach some of the classes and am the owner)will be getting 15%. We never had to pay the photographer to come in and take pics as they get their money from the sales.
