Teachers - Music Music for Jazz and Lyrical class help! en>fr fr>en By Jeannie1 Comments: 4309, member since Sat Mar 11, 2006On Sat Sep 19, 2009 05:38 AM
Every year I get stuck using High School Musical, Jonas Bros etc for jazz and I want more of a "mix" CD feel in my class. The issue is I don't listen to "pop" music at all so I really don't know what's popular or really appropriate to use in class. I teach ages 5-9 (different classes, of course) and need help with a nice long list of songs to use for stretches and across the floor for jazz!
Also, lyrical songs for stretching and across the floor is greatly appreciated as well (same age groups)
Thanks! 1 Replies to Music for Jazz and Lyrical class help! |

You can get the Disney Radio Jams CD's which are a mix of Disney artists. My SO buys them all the time to use in the studio. I don't teach jazz/lyrical for this age group but the other teachers use them.
Some popular kid friendly artists:
Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Jordin Sparks, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Honor Society, Colbie Caillat, Alexa Vega, Emily Osment, Kelly Clarkson, David Cook, Aly & AJ, Corbin Blue,
JoJo, Jordan Pruitt, Vanessa Hudgens.... |
