Hey all!

I'm choreographing a street tap for the adults (wide range of ages from 25 (me and 1 other girl) to 57. I am not making them purchase costumes, though we are doing a performance for recital and other venues. I do want to get gloves of some sort, but any ideas at ALL of how we could put something together to look sleek!?

I don't know if pin stripes, or just all black. Could we layer? Like a vest or something? Then I thought about Fedoras, but then I didn't want them fallong off....I just don't know about this one! : )

Please, lay on the ideas! Lol

Well, first of all, in the "Bad" video, they weren't wearing pinstripe suits. They were wearing "thug" outfits. Like, leather jackets, studded belts, tight jeans, etc. The video where they wore the pinstripe suits was "Smooth Criminal". So if you're trying to be authentic, they should go to the thrift stores and look for street clothes. It would be a lot easier than finding suits, and cheaper too.

I understand they weren't wearing the pinstripes in the music video. I don't think I want to go completely authentic, because I actually wanted to wear the signature MJ glove but maybe put a spin on it and wear the long gloves to the elbow.

I just don't know...I wanted to make it something that the adult class is comfortable with.

Keep it simple.. black pants, black tops, silver glove (you can add sparkles to a white glove, and add some studs to the shirts.

I would say even denim pants and a black hoodie maybe? If you want to do the fedora thing us elastic or clear elastic to keep them from falling off.
