The showcase began from a vision to bring about recognition of the hard work and dedication put forth by dancers/performers (more specifically in the realm of hip hop) in the entertainment industry. This event will be showcasing some of the choreography (works) of the best in the industry to date. A chance for dancers, as well as those interested, to be exposed to what the ideal of hip hop dance has to offer. Composed of a barrage of featured group performances and visitations of several entertainment companies, many in our community with the hopes of pursuing a future in dance will be shown just that; the future of those who took it upon themselves at one point to do the same. Moreover, this would prove to be the first time in South Florida where groups would join and perform at an event, not for competition but strictly for exhibition; in turn bringing back much needed interest and accolades to the arena we term “Hip-Hop Dance.”
